"You can restore your iGadget from iCloud, but first you need to connect it through iTunes, perform a standard restore procedure (downloading and reinstalling the iOS) and then chose the iCloud restore option." Thats incorrect i have already confirmed myself after uou have ios5 on your iphone you no longer need to connect to itunes he goes directly to icloud and downloads the restore file.

well no impress at all.... nothing to new to be honest and battery performance is poor after installing ios5 ! been reserching the internet and im not the only one with this problem .. and cant be the phone since is only 2 months old and work fine with ios 4.3.5.... no impress with apple !

I just wonder how some people constantly praise iPhone to be fast and responsive. iPhones lag like crazy all the time-Not a single task on the videos done within less than 2sec. My 3GS is awful, but the 4th on the videos is ~ the same crap. Terrible performance for a single app system.

GSMArena, I think you forgot to write about the keyboard where you can split it.
Just installed iOS 5, and i have no problem downloading and installing. :)

ios 5 is simply great. I didn't had any problem in downloading the update. Even though i had a low speed internet connectivity I was able to download and update it successfully. As many stated here that they had problem in syncing the backup, i really didn't had any issues like that. Mine is a 3GS and the total file size was 668 MB.

it says multitasking-gesture for iPad with iOS 5, so that should refer to both iPad.
but why it's only available for iPad 2??
iPad 1 user wont be experiencing any multitasking-gesture!!
Apple is simply a sick liar!
iPad are just 2 generation yet, and Apple completely ignore the iPad 1 already??
iOS 5 my ass!
I've been a proud Apple-iPad 1 user until now, but I guess I start to doubt Apple from now on! no point to defend Apple from haters anymore, coz Apple slowly turn me to become 1 of the haters! What a dissapointment!

Conclusion
As you can see, there isn't much left to ask of the iOS. The fifth version brings the platform up to speed. So techi people allowed apple to release 5 version of IOS to make it look completely full, same people bash window 7 on 2nd update.Awful bias.

I work at a phone shop and the amount of Hype a phone gets is unbelievable. Not Just an iPhone but Android's and Blackberry's.
People are so arrow minded. All us guys working in a phone shop are laughing at you all. Especially that 40 year old man coming in trying to act like a teenager again. Talking about the iPhone or Android like its the first mobile phone to make a call. There are more important things in life.

Unimpressive ios5. Downloaded ios5 on my iphone 3GS and ipad 2 after getting error messages throughout the night. Nothing exciting in ios5 except the icloud, but this works only in wi-fi (am I correct guys?)! Tell me fellows what new useful features (200 apple claims) has this ios5 given that one would be using regularly or has not found it in the other phones? My wife has S2, which is miles ahead of ios5 (barring the icloud feature).

Over-hyped update I'm afraid, nice and clean-ish though.
Few "Idea rips" but guess we'll see on the next updates.

Apple servers are very very busy over flooded by many people who are updating.
i remember even during apple's 4S launch event many websites went down. hehe
