Guys, can you please help me with the MUSIC feature in my Note.
Cant do changes with the images of the album. It defaults to a dog pic from my phone.

I really think that, in honor of the Galaxy Note's success, it should be re-categorized as its namesake, the "Note", rather than the awkward "phoneblet" or "tabphone".

what pink spot.... People complain about this when the SGS II came out as well. But I never had the problem on my SGS II and 2 of my Note.

By far the most interesting phone at the moment, and it's created a niche in today's market place. Only have to watch Apple's litigation wrath as this is an Apple Newton copy.
A question: Can I voice dial through a headset or do I have to tap the Note first?

AnonD-9786, 19 Jan 2012Hi, if any body already using the Galaxy NOTE, can you plea... moreHow is the 'pink spot' supposed to manifest on the Note and HD2?
I have both so let me know what specifically I am to look for on each device.

Hi, if any body already using the Galaxy NOTE, can you please shed any light on the "PINK SPOT" problem in camera ?
You know if it's passable OR very problematic like the htc hd2 !?
I'd be very thankful

antonio, 17 Jan 2012A peculiar thing to note is that when shooting FullHD video... moreThat is good to know.
However, did you post this elsewhere a while back?
I remember reading something with the same depth of explanation.

AnonD-38448, 17 Jan 2012which 1 is better???
GN or 4s..?
need ur suggestion..Like anything, depends upon what you want the device to do.
However, if price is not the major consideration, the GN gives 1280x800 5.3" vs 800x480 4.3" of the SG2 = more than double the pixels and only 23% larger screen. That in itself means being able to view more of ANYTHING (almost) that you look at, or the same with better clarity. This is the major benefit.
Then there are the value-addeds of the pen, which means being to draw diagrams with some detail. That is one of the main reasons I got it, because the only thing that I found I really liked about having a tablet (S Tab 7") was that I could sketch ideas (with a finger). The GN is certainly a lot more compact than a tablet to do that.

James, 16 Jan 2012I have the Note and whilst it is good, it is not brilliant.... moreWhat do you mean by 'full of pixels'? That there are 1280x800 or you can see individual pixels too easily?
Does anyone think this could replace a laptop that one could use for hours at a time? It's a SLIGHTLY larger phone, with a high-res screen that allows reading more of a web page or emails. Convenient for a phone and much of what a tablet can be used for.
Wouldn't use it for working on as a principle device. I have multiple 30" monitors on an i7 desktop to do real work and heavy internet browsing.
Horses for courses.
Do you actually have one, or are you just buying into this phablet FUD?

A peculiar thing to note is that when shooting FullHD videos you have a narrower field of view than that of the still camera. The explanation is that the camcorder uses only the center of the 8MP sensor instead of shooting with the whole surface and then scale it down to 1080p.
In 720p video capture mode however they use the whole sensor and as a result you have almost the same wide field of view as the still camera (about 30mm).
What this means for the occasional videographer is 720p videos might turn out the better option in low light as the process of pixel binning used for downsizing the information captured from the 8 megapixel sensor down to 720p actually helps suppress digital noise too.
The longer focal range in 1080p mode also makes for a shakier video so you might want to look for a hand-rest while recording to get the best out of the Samsung Galaxy S FullHD camcorder.
a little bit lazy, ah

I have the Note and whilst it is good, it is not brilliant. The screen looks like it is full of pixels, the battery is weak, people complain about the tinny voice when I call them, and it does not replace a laptop. So when buying this remember it is expensive and a great gadget, but not the do every thing that people say it is. Good camera and video for sure.

Note about to be released in Australia!!
Until yesterday, the Note had not been one of the Samsung devices allowed to download the free Navigon Australia-NZ app.
With the Note's super-fast GPS lockon (even indoors!), it works great.
I have an original 7in Tab, and it takes two minutes to lock on outside, which makes navigation a slooooow startup!

AnonD-38100, 14 Jan 2012i'm planning to buy this phone, and it would be my first an... more1. The pen seems to be securely fitted. I would not expect it to become loose, let alone drop out.
2. The screen uses about 70% of the power, so calls - which blank the screen - do not use all that much power. If I thrash mine playing games for hours, I will not get a full day, but easily full day with hours of calls.
What overheating problem? Mine is cool all the time.

i'm planning to buy this phone, and it would be my first android/smartphone/tablet... few doubts:-
1) regarding S-Pen... does the S-Pen slot become too loose after using it for few months? and likely to fall off and get lost?
2) battery life... is the battery life really that bad? overheating problem?
... thanks!
