chandan kazi, 05 Dec 2011samsung sayes " you can enjoy bouth phone and tab"... moreName one phone with ICS other than the Google flagship Galaxy Nexus.
None. Nada. And the reason is that the manufacturer gets exclusive use for a period of time, but must not embellish it so that it is a vehicle for the OS, not the manufacturer.
Clearly, the Note was out before the OS and was not the best candidate for the raw OS.
However, Samsung has promised ICS for the Note among many others, but the OS has to be customised for the Note and Note apps have to be updated to be compatible with the new OS. By the time that is done and all tested, the Nexus exclusivity period may have expired.

AnonD-1082, 16 Nov 2011GSMArena is right about this "phoneblet". It's a ... moreAt least it is actual users who are saying it, not the manufacturer and biased reviewers.
If you have a problem with actual users expressing enthusiasm for what they have purchsed, you need to get a life.
In the end, it is all just opinions, but those from real users can really make a difference to purchase decisions, whereas reviewers often do not get to really use a device enough to find out what it is like to live with it.
I find reviewers often project their own expectations rather than look at the device from what the target audience would, and so can see cons which are irrelevant to the intended users.
For example, most reviewers of the Sony P Series Vaio 8" laptop, saw the price as a real con, because they kept comparing it to netbooks with their 1kg weight and 1024x600 screens. The P has a 1600x768 screen and 600g weight, for which ALL users were willing to pay the price.
On the other hand, there are those who are gadget affictionados, with high turnover of devices. However, I would also wonder if they are the ones upon whom to rely for actual usage, as their expectations may be too volatile and usage too superficial to be used as a reference for gauging how one could live with the device in the long term (which is not long these days).

AnonD-14018, 16 Nov 2011you wont be able to tell the diffrence between rgb or penti... moreToo many people go by theory and forget that when it comes to practical usage, the actual implementation of the technology rules.
It may not be as theoretically 'good' as others, but it looks good in use.
As long as the visuals are fit for purpose (whatever that means to you), then it is the rest of the facilities offered (screen size, pen, etc) that provide the differentiation upon which to decide whether this phone/pda is for you.
Think of this as a slightly larger phone/pda/notepad and your expectations may well be fulfilled.

Sahil, 04 Dec 2011Hi All. I am planning to buy this phone in next couple of w... more... but it would not break.
The phone is all plastic, giving it a deceptively light feel. It is only 178g.
The back is very thin and flexible, but snaps on at 17 points.
ANY phone (but ruggedised ones) dropped from 2m onto concrete would crack, but the Note would probably fair better than most.
If you fear dropping it, buy a neprene slip case for it.

samir, 07 Dec 2011yes it would be considered because note is a tab more than ... more... but Samsung cannot use it on other than the Nexus for a period of time.
64GB would be nice, but the Note does have a microSD slot, so videos (about the only thing one would need large memory for) can be loaded on them.
While videos look great on the Note, it is 1280x800 so an MP4 video optimised for it would be about 2GB per hour.
The Note is a PHONE with a larger area and resolution to browse better with, but it wuold NOT replace a tablet if that is the sort of size you require.
We bought too Tabs to see what we wanted out of a tablet. My wife went for an iPad2 because she wanted a larger viewing area, though not necessarily a larger resolution, as she browses a lot.
I found I did not need a large device, but one on which I could jot down ideas. The Tab was very easy to draw on, but too large to always have on hand and use as a phone.
Do you have a tablet or a Note?

samir, 07 Dec 2011yes it would be considered because note is a tab more than ... moreIt is more a larger phone than a tablet. It is not much bigger than an SG2, but much smaller than a Tab.
It looks big at first sight, but one get used to it.
