I m the owner of this phone..this is a great phone..sony mobile bravia engine is superb..go n buy this phone..really amazing phone

Warning - neo v hd video is only 25 fps !! Whereas it is 30 fps in xperai mini !!
Video on tv looks grainy, faded / colorless and jerky.
Mini is better.
I have checked this with vlc player.
GSMARENA is wrong in giving spec.
Mini is more latest, has corner based icons, has minor sw diff than neo v.
Very disappointed. Its not worth 18k without hd video.
Otherwise, happy with otherfeatures.

wowwwwwwwwwww I have purchase the neo v excellent phone.I love the performance smooth browsing is one plus point .screen is excellent but only problem is their battery back up.

Bought the phone 3 mnths ago. It has a serious restart problem. Phone is lying with SE service centre since a month. Excellent design with good features and value for money but a technical problem difficult to handle, even by SE!

I have the original Neo, or perhaps I should call it the Neo VIII :-). The original release of the Neo was certainly affected by the earthquake. My memory is that it made a fleeting appearance in one or two stores in about March and then disappeared for about 4 months. However, I suspect that there is more to the Neo V downgrade story than meets the eye. My suspicion is that Sony might have had to kill the Neo temporarily in order to meet production targets for the IPhone 4s camera sensors.
Or perhaps Sony felt that there was too much of an overlap in the specs of the Neo and the Arc.
If they are really struggling bringing 8mp camera phones to the market then surely it would have made more sense to downgrade a model like the Xperia Ray that was still on its way to market.
Also, the 5mp snapper mid range segment of the market is pretty crowded. The 8.1mp Exmor R sensor on the original Neo at least offered it a potential USP. If Sony had originally gone to market with the V, then I might have been tempted to look elswhere.
The strangest twist in the tale is that, despite rumours that it would be replaced by the Neo V the original Neo is still available from Sony (Jan 2012) and it's only about £30 more than the V.

you can install mx ... moreNeo V doesn't play all the video formats. That is where samsung overtake SE. I downloaded a video from youtube and it never played on my Neo V...I can play any video type on my Samsung Galaxy S :D... also I'm not at all satisfied with the screen brightness...I wish it could have been a little bit brighter comparing with Samsung's AMOLED display.

i have been using this mobile for over 3 months. this is has a good screen, music is nice, camera is also good, but it's speed is slow, internal memory is very less, so you will have to think before downloading any application....
one thing is more for sure, that is it's price, 17K is the best deal, no mobile is available in the market better then this on such competitive price....

I bought neo v for my wife and she fell in love with it as much as i did in fact. I am an iphone 4 owner and i like the organization, interface, feel and looks of neo v much more. Imho looks so much more elegant than the iphone. The battery is not one of its strong points.
In terms of responsiveness and overall experience i cant tell a difference btw this and iphone 4. I got it for 190 euros and Iphone for 600 Euros. There is absolutely no way that anyone can convince me that this price difference is justified whatsoever. My sister got the Xperia Ray couple of months ago and she is really satisfied too. Best budget phones in my opinion.
