Firstly thanks for a very nice review GSM Arena. :-)
Secondly please correct some details in your video recording review part. The front camera does record video in the 'Self Recording' mode albeit at a lower but sufficient for video calls resolution.
Thirdly you did not mention all the features of Galaxy R as in the case of S2, show some love for this phone too. :-P
For e.g. You completely forgot to even mention about 'Samsungdive.com' remote tracking & data wipe capability.

Superb phone . . . ! Go grab one for yourself a Galaxy Royale if you want all the top features in a budget . . . :-)
A bit of a battery burner but still holds its own in the android line with screens larger than 4 inch, as most android cell phones are more inefficient when it comes to battery usage. Eagerly waiting for as bug-free Android ICS 4.0 as the current OS. ;-)

Hey guys, i own this phone for abt a weak now, n i tell u, its way better than s+ n 10,000inr cheaper than s2 wid jus slight performance diff...the 1ghz dual core can be easily overclocked to 1.4ghz (wen u root it), having 1gb ram is gr8, no lag what so ever...and whats more is that, sammy also promised d ICS update to it...i've compared d super amoled on s+ n sc-lcd on r, n i tel u, d diff is nothing lik d review people say, most of us won even notice a diff expect for d brightness levels...1 more thing...d review says that u cannot use d front cam 4 video shooting, which is wrong...(obviously, d front cam has worst quality than d back...bt still, it "cn" record...)

According to some websites galaxy r is only available in black color. But on websites like letsbuy and flipkart they are selling metallic grey galaxy r. So are both black and metallic grey the same color, or are two different color variants of galaxy r available?

I really don't like it. Aweful desing. Fail by Samsung. Trying to do clones of the S 2 doesn't mean they're better.

SC-LCD is so much better than ANY SUPER AMOLED screen for the simple reason that SC-LCD will never have burn-ins. Why don't people get this? Apparently even this website.

I own this phone and It Simply ROCKS!!
Very fast, superb battery life9got 4 Days),good cam.. Its the best at its Price Point..
O2x is also a Great Option,only if you can get it!!

What about atrix2 or photon 4g from motorola both have 4.3" screen with better resolution and added webtop functionality and great construction

This phone come with a easily dented back cover, it selling about $450 in my country (without warranty from distributor) merely $100 lesser than S2 with full warranty, it a totally flope, the only reason people would consider this is because it's getting ICS in future, but then again why not wait until a mid range which c/w ICS out of the box than this half baked phone.

but i asked the representative of Samsung Indonesia few weeks ago, they confirmed that Samsung i9103 won't be available here in my country,
and they told us to wait for Samsung GT-i9070 instead...

Does Galaxy R really support HSPA+? I thought it would only support HSDPA up to 7.2mbit/s?

Love the phone, nearly as good as GS2 and cheaper
