dont update to ICS 4.0.3 on the galaxy sII I9100. it is somewhat useless because battery drain is high compared to GB and camera clarity is main problem it is very grayish at low light condition. RAM reduced to 831 mb from 837. I back to ginger bread 2.3.6 today

Battery is shit after the upgrade...2 days standby has become to 13 - 15 hours......whats up samsung...battery should be boosted not degraded

For those of you facing problems after upgrade. Its always best to factory reset the phone after an update. Always have a clean slate once you do updates to your phone. And then install applications/games and see if you still face problems. Remember to backup your stuff before you reset.

Wow nice ph. I havent use befofe like this phone. Really i very impressed to this ph. I love this ph very much. If we talked about fitures than really aweasome, fantastic. Very sexy ph. No body can dislike this ph.

I also experienced freezing and shut down of phone while on WIFI. Sometimes wifi just refuses to work. While I can manage with all other design changes, Samsung should look into this bug

After all this wait.....got the ics.....and it works worse than gigerbread......games not working properly.....lagging and freezing issues.......battery life short....cannot choose which contacts to view whether phone, sim, google etc......wish i did not upgrade.....

oh, and one more thing, gsmarena:

Man, that has been in Nokia Belle too. I don't recall if it was in Anna, but I'm sure it can be found in Belle.

Upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S2 to ICS on the very first day it was released in India. Still exploring. Good and bad features found so far listed.
***GOOD***
- Easy unlock(no swipe)
- UI is bright, scrolling is smooth
- Google search widget has voice option (mic button)
- Wireless and network settings are changed
- Option to track data usage(for folks using data plans)
- Gmail,google plus, maps work better on ICS
- Stock Browser has button for "other windows"
- Extra Shooting modes/Scene modes added in Camera
- 1x/4x forward while playing video.
- Browsing and page loads are fast.
***BAD***
- Battery drains fast (mostly drains while using wi-fi/playing simple games/opening settings page/data usage/maps), 2 days max limit.
- All Contacts tab removed from Phone Logs(have to click menu and then all contacts)
- installing app through Play store creates a shortcut on homepage
- phone freezes while on wi-fi, might even shutdown.
- App list shows two names of same app if its on SD.
- Auto-rotation has some issues as some apps cannot realign
- My playlists got erased after upgrade(but the songs are there).
- Face Unlock is worst
***CONCLUSION***
Nice to have the upgrade but not a must.

I am from india. I got SGS2 i9100 a week before through flipkart with ICS 4.0.3 within the box. what I noticed is it was taking couple of secs to open any app and contacts. I compared it with 2.3.6 which was very much faster than ICS. so I want gingerbread now. Can I downgrade my software to gingerbread. If yes how can I, should i go to service centre or by manually i can happen? please help me

ICS was such a bad experience with the phone gone complete crazy,phone freezed and nothing happened for many Seconds and many other problem and very slow Gps connection,,tried hard reset and empty cache with no better result.So now back to 2.3.5 and everything works excellent again.

camera blue tint is good, its sharper! its much worse now the camera! fools! yellow tint is annoying!
