AnonD-12182, 12 Apr 2012Really good review. But it is to be noted that even though ... moreThat's not how comparisons work - you compare things that are on the market at the same time and Tegra 4 isn't out yet. Also, there will be quad-core Kraits.

Sorry but HTC (still) just can't make a good camera. End of story.
I just can't see any improvements in the 8Mpix photos. Everything looks grainy and smudged at the same time. And detail just isn't there. Old Samsung Wave photos with 5Mpix looked better overall. Btw, this must be the first time a GSMArena reviewed HTC doesn't have a broken camera. So an improvement of actually working for starters...
I now have HTC Wildfire and the photos are absolute garbage. Only good thing is it can snap macros so i can use it to snap text at close distances. Other than that, not much use of it. And the camera is really the main thing holding me off from buying another HTC.

Processor seems very good but the one X screen is just so much nicer. S4 is cool, maybe more useful than my quad? Which is weird they used A9 in flagship if this S4 is better. Maybe tegra graphics better for the 1280 x 720 screen?

AnonD-15559, 12 Apr 2012yeah nice and cool phone.. but it isnt gonna e great.. caus... moreAgree ,S2 is very good phone compared to one s. And no micro sd card what were people at HTC thinking. 30k is for phone that has pentile matrix, no camera key , no micro sd, only 10gb user available memory. Would rather wait for S3 and its variants.

Hello! Can someone helps me out clearing this?
"The HTC One S offers quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band 3G, but unfortunately HTC didn't see fit to provide HSDPA and HSUPA data speeds."
Does it means it doesn't support hsdpa or 3.5g?

Really good review. But it is to be noted that even though the S4 beats the Tegra 3, both of them have different Architecture and Manufacturing Process.
The S4 is built on Cortex A-15 based krait, where as Tegra 3 is Cortex A9 based. Also the S4 is 28nm process while Tegra 3 is 40nm process.
The S4 should be compared to Tegra 4 which will be built on Cortex A-15 and 28nm process, and i'm pretty sure Tegra 4 beats Snapdragon S4 in all :D

yeah nice and cool phone.. but it isnt gonna e great.. cause of the pricing.. seriously? in india it costs more than 30 freaking thousand.. not worth so much for a non expandable memory card slot... i mean the galaxy s2 even though a year old is holding on to the next generation phones!!! thats freakishly awesome.. i mean a year old phone.. the one series would have been brilliant had the pricing been proper.. i fell this should have been below the 30k mark.. then there would be some kickass competition :) peace

HTC are the authors of their own misfortune this time, I mean this is a good phone, no in face a great phone right up there in the upper segment thought not the highest. Its got a good display, looks downright sexy, pleasing to eye, got beats audio, good camera and also boasts ICS with sense 4.0.
I don't believe what's wrong with HTC that they decide to give this 16gb out of which 6 gb goes to sense, Even if you have 5-6 gb of songs you only have 3-4 gb left which goes easily in android apps and videos. If you think that you can manage in 10 gb then this phone is right there as the best, For the rest, Htc One X is the best option for you.

AnonD-410, 12 Apr 2012It has 16gb, 2gb for apps, 10gb for user, the rest is used ... moreis it meant that the user only has 2GB to download the apps? Or the 2GB is used for the pre-installed apps?

What prompts me not to buy their products is that their govt is not good to my country. their phones are good though.

"...to turn the aluminum surface into ceramic, which is said to be five times stronger than aerospace aluminum or stainless steel..."
Bag of lies. I got this phone yesterday and just by pluging it to charge, part of black coating probably fell off, so it has two shiny white spots of aluminium on the edge of micro USB slot.
Don't get me wrong, phone characteristics are great. It is very slim, and still feels light and strong. But my mood was spoiled on the very first day of purchase, because of aluminium start shining around charging slot. I guess, with time, it will only get more shining spots all over the edges of the phone.

[deleted post]It has 16gb, 2gb for apps, 10gb for user, the rest is used by system (ics, sense etc.) Haters gone hate.. HTC, enough said. I just love sense and design. There is more power than it is needed. My Htc Desire HD is still doing just fine.

Won't even consider any phone with 16gb internal memory and no mem card slot! Opted for the One x and no regrets whatsoever. Relegated my Xperia S to the drawer and never thought that would happen! The One X is, in my humble opinion, the best phone on the market and likely to be for some time. From a user's stand point, absolutely flawless and you will want to thumb this handset to death!

How come you got the One X first and the One S got reviewer earlier than X?
