HTC One V review: Chin up

21 April 2012
The One series is the fresh new lineup of smartphones that helped HTC take the spotlight early in 2012. While the One S and One X are flexing muscle at each other as a way to stay sharp for the invasion of the other predators with multi-core processors...

android os los ICS is just a lot worse than v2.3.4 (Gingerbread), is too exalted marketing at home and abroad, but people will realize it only after several months ....

I would have put it against the one model higher HTC and also the Neo V, Defy+, Rhyme and Desire S. The Sola review (when it comes) needs to include the One V

"than its predecessor - the HTC Legend"
So this phone in no way succeeds the Rhyme or Desire S?

Did not like the benchmark section, could not understand why One V was pitted against the likes of heavy weights like One X, One S, GS-II etc instead of SE Neo V, Arc, Defy+, Ace 2 etc.. It would be helpful GSM Arena if you could update this.

Noticed that on page 5 of the review it mentions that the SoundHound app on the One V only allows for 99 free uses. Are you sure this is correct? Because the free version of the app on Google Play allows for unlimited uses.

I am also disappointed in the choice of competitors in the benchmarks. I don't need gsmarena.com to tell me that the one x is faster then the one v. Which is the faster of the incredible s and the one v? A good question considering the incredible s has more ram and is cheaper.

                          Disadvantage of HTC ONE V:
                          1) Video Recording not work when MX Player installed
                          2) Camera Shutter is not working properly when taking continuous

i read an intersting comment on pocketlint htc onev review by sum1 named aphrine suffi And here is wat it saidlet me give you an example when you think of coupe the first thing that strikes your mind is bmw z4 right? fast , nice, comfartable, gripping, fun but ask a fan of coupes he will tell you that he would any day buy alfa romeo 8c over the z4, the car alfa romeo 8c is neither fast, neither gripping nor is it as comfy as z4. So, we ask the fan why would he pick a 8c over z4 the answer is "the sheer love italian engine and the itaalian beauty and elegance" . the same is the answer here one would buy one v for" the one(htc) technology, the beauty and the elegance "

I like the way GSMArena quote as having no dedicated camera shutter button a setback,,I absolutly fully agree it should be classed as a minus point.

AnonD-28671, 22 Apr 2012Too expensive. LOL. There are phones with better specs for ... moreBetter specs? You mean bigger right?

It's pointless comparing. There are tablets with a sim card and phone functionality that are better spec'd that a Galaxy S2, what's the point in making such comparisons.

This is probably the 2nd best spec'd 3.7" phone ever. Not sure why people think it should be so cheap at the time of release.

But please do give us a list a better spec'd 3.7" phones for a cheaper price.
