If you are happy with your One X, don't base your negative assumptions on other user's comments here with their honest opinions. What I told here is what I experienced in my One X. And I said it had good and bad features that I do and don't like. I don't have any preferences on Brand of Phones since I am not tied up to any of their big corporate cash. If Samsung does not deliver what they "measured" and said on their ads, then I will not be their customer. Please don't suck up and idolize on big corporate products - They are just products and we are their consumers. If you do, you will always suck up since technology always changes. We are the one paying for their product that makes them rich unless..somebody here are. Else, just keep it cool, state your views neutrally, get the best out of your money and be happy with what you got.

Just for those of you who are undecided, suggest you read engadget's SGS3 review. Conclusion of that review set out in quotes below!
"The worst thing about the GS III? No matter how hard it tries, it just isn't greater than the sum of the HTC One X's parts. That's not to say it falls short, but merely to emphasize that times have changed since last year's Galaxy S II, which landed on an unsuspecting world that was largely devoid of predators. The Snapdragon variant of the One X has similar computing power, battery life and photographic credibility, but it also has a much better user interface that sticks more closely to the guiding ethos of Android 4.0. The One X also has a more forward-looking physical design, while the GS III clings to the tried and true styles of old. Perhaps the biggest sacrifice you'd make by going for the One X over the GS III is the loss of the cheap storage offered by the microSD card. That's a painful thing to give up, but given how deeply we feel about the need for Android to move forward and not get stuck in a Gingerbread-flavored groundhog day, we might just take the hit".
Once you've read the article, you will also note the superior benchmarks the One S posted over the SGS3 and accept that bottom line, they are just numbers on a sheet!

On balance the fairest review I have come across. However, given the spec of both sets, it is down to personal preference and I am committing to the HTC One x for looks, build quality, Sense 4.0, Quad plus 1, excellent camera and a "whopping" 32 gb. Got 5 films, tons of music and music vids on as well as a lot of pics and still 17gb available!

htconex_user_nomore, 23 May 2012Hi guys, I just want to share my experience with my New HTC... moreA proud owner of the One x here! Not into comparing since at this level of spec, I doubt I woud notice any difference in everyday use. However, there are some inaccuracies being spouted by people on this forum. First off, my HOX lasted a day and a half (moderate use) but after the subsequent software updates, closer to two and the Camera is now much improved, it was already superb, by the way! Don't comment unless you have actually used the handset....PLEASEEEeeeeeeeeeeee! Won't be buying the SGS3, no matter how good it is but will wait to see if Sony release a quad core otherwise my other phone will be the Xperia GX! The aesthetics of the SGS3 is underwhelming........totally!

The Galaxy S3 is also polycarbonate. The review should reflect that accordingly.

I understand that some may comment here about HTC One X, as it is very impressive indeed and compared to whatever phone that the user had (Iphone or Android Phones)...One X has it's ups and downs. But not with the SGS3 comments...You cannot definitely fully compare the 2 phones directly if you have no experience using it. The best thing to do is to wait for the release of SGS3 and experience it - then do the comparisons. Measurements are only one part as did by GSMArena (kudos to them), user experience is another thing...then comes preferences. Please don't do blind comparisons if you haven't experienced the phone yet. Also measurements are just a variant on how we, as consumers, appreciate a product.

Anonymous, 24 May 2012Apparently you've never used the phone! The UI slows the ph... moreSee now you are just lying from anger. If you like the HTC then whatever, but you are so wrong. Yes the HTC takes way better low light pictures. That's do to the illuminance though. The sensor of the GS3 is actually a lot better.
How are you gonna sit there and be like well yeah GS3 takes better detail but that means nothing cause HTC is better in low light. And check back at those pictures. I saw a huge difference at first glance immediately. Didn't even have to zoom. In their defense HTC had a little more weather going on. GSMArena should have waited for same weather or done shots at same time.
Point is as the review shows GS3 has 99% of the advantages, but HOX is still a nice phone and get what you want. You however do not need to come in here and start with well Samsung sucks this and HTC this and take away the GS3 can do to make yourself feel better.

It's definitely the Galaxy S III that wins... I have used the One X but it just didn't have all the "practicality" and features of touchwiz. Plastic body on Galaxy S III, you think it looks and feels cheap? Well that's why it's lighter and easier to hold when you talk to somebody for an hour and a quarter. I personally feel that even the Galaxy S II is comparable to the Galaxy S III. And you better not bring the contraband "iPhone" into this conversation.

AnonD-45859, 23 May 2012Absolutely agree with you, No one is gonna use a 700$ phone... moreApparently you've never used the phone! The UI slows the phone down? Who are you trying to fool? I've NEVER seen the HOX slowdown. Go ahead into a store. Throw everything you can at it. Tell me it slows down.
"Absolutely agree with you, No one is gonna use a 700$ phone without a cover so the back is hidden anyways, What's apparent is that the S3 beefs out the one X in battery, camera, sound and even the UI. "
Depends on what kind of cover you use. Not all cover the entire back side.
The Samsung has a better battery, but I'd argue it has a far worse camera for a few reasons. It wins in detail resolution slightly in DAYLIGHT. Now here's the important detail: the differences are SLIGHT as is the case with daylight performance in P&S cameras and even smartphones today. The HOX absolutely DESTROYS the GS3 in lowlight video and camera because it has a f/2.0 lens. Anandtech also noted this gave a nice bokeh effect to the shots. Some things are more important than 100% zooms! And better UI? You've GOT to be kidding me. Sense (4.0 at least) is WAY better than Touchwiz. A lot of the new software features in the GS3 are total gimmicks and the interface looks like it was designed half a decade ago. Oh and does Samsung have anything similar to HTC locations yet? You know.. offline routing of maps? Nope?

Hi guys, I just want to share my experience with my New HTC One X Phone. I bought this phone because of my contract on mobile service was up, so I decided to change my phone from Iphone 3GS. I also chose this since my network provider, gave my a 50% discount on each HTC One Phones. On the first day, the phone was running smoothly, no issues so far. At that time, I already upgraded the ICS, HTC software and my newly installed android apps. On the second day upon familiarizing the functions so much in this phone, I realized that I cannot play all of my Gaming Apps and Videos and the phone suddenly restarts everytime they are played. I did troubleshooting but no success came, so I went to HTC service center afterwards, and they gladly replaced me a new one. On my new unit, I noticed the battery lasts only 5 hours when I played games, videos and browse and it really turned hot quite fast. It was really a deal breaker. So I end up selling them and hope that SGS3 is better than One X.
Features that I liked so far is the gorgeous crisp and detailed screen, the poly-carbonate white body and a better camera. Audio is so-so, I woudn't trade it to my Cowon J3->JH Audio JH13. But what if you are hoping for a good experience on situations like browsing, playing games, and videos for hours...this is not for you. It gets hot so fast and battery depletes so fast too. I end up not impressed with them afterwards, and I hope HTC will come up with a better option/solution for them.

HTC ONE x's UI is good looking but when you use it in reality you realise it's bloody slowing the phone down. Finally the display, what's the irony is that the beautiful display has to be kept at 30% brightness for battery sake, so it's practically worthless.

Nearly a month back when i heard and saw the Htc ONE x , I had convinced myself to get this. It looked downright sexy, had the features , the UI, tegra 3 and looked like finally HTC had got the winning formula.
Now, I realise that samsung appears and shatters the HTC euphoria..I hate Samsung design and material but still I have to have to applaud samsung for putting this phone, It has got everything which you could want. The best part unlike HTC is that S3 is snappy and you can see this in daily use, Htc lags far too often to be termed as a true quad core.
Not too forget is the camera which has a lot more noise than S3 and what really spoils the party for one X is the pathetic battery, Samsung S3 has removed the crown which one X had for a few days.

While some like Samsung are inventing and innovating more. S3 was revealed the non-retinal panel, real ppi only 200 or so! Tragic loss to iPhone4S with One X-more than 300ppi retina panel.
S3 lens with F2.6 small aperture miserable lost OneX large F2.0 aperture.
