i bought it 2 days ago ,i bought it becouse it is having wolfson dac but the sound quality is not up to the mark, i mean my si9000 was quite better in terms of music quality, i m totally disappointed :-(....

In terms of smooth transition, gaming and video playback?
Or does it really depend on the processor??

About picture quality, i didn't take more than 20 photos, but quality is about same depending of situations. The zero shutter lag is mostly an ICS feature (have it on simple Xperia Ray upgraded to ICS), first "single" picture is slow to take (something like 0.5-0.8s when pressing shoot), but if you repeat pressing the button it's fast as advertised, could be faster without their effect of blinking bezel + sound after each picture taken.
An annoying thing is that Samsung each time seems to start their camera UI from scratch, it was same on my GS1 then on GS2 out of their boxes : no option to remove the f***** camera sound. They added it in next firmwares each time.
Else for burst mode, you can get "fastburst camera" from the market / samsung apps which will be doing about same with any "good" phone.
I insisted about not having more than 8MP on board, because, it's true that MP is not the main factor, depends of the optics and processing quality, but between my first S8300 Tocco Ultra, Pixon of my ex gf, Galaxy S2 and now Galaxy S3, there's not enough real differences (even that BSI stuff seems to produce still quite a bit of noise) to justify staying at 8MP only each time (my Xperia Ray 8MP cam is strangely bad though, even on daylight outside, u ll need to change to a serious camera app to verify this some day).
So i need more detailed now (bigger resolutions) pictures and not some dslr everyday in my pocket..
Hopefully the rumored mint or peppermint (some more powerfull hayabusa/GX with amoled screen) from Sony will be a perfect match to GS3 power with far better camera at the end of the year.

It did a full view close up of the 4S to say it still worked. In the case of the GS3 they did not do the full view close up and when it claim close and she claims its on but not working all it shows is black screen. Remember this is about the best sunlight visibility you get and all you can make out is black screen, but she supposedly sees a non working homescreen.hmmmmmm

i know you are sharing your experience with others here, but i wanted to say that i own one too since saturday and there are several points where i disagree. Maybe it's country/rom related sometimes, but i just wanted to speak about some, so no hard feelings :
-i didn't surf a lot on it to say truth, but it never froze on me for that.
-there are tons of games on android market appearing, there are GS1/GS2 games on samsung apps market. So i don't seee why you are stucking yourself on lame gameloft webpage which is obviously not updated, anyway it's same video chip than GS2 so, all GS2 games should be compatible.
-notification bar is taking me back to beginnning (wifi), systematically it seems...
-i didn't test much stay awake, s-voice (vlingo) etc.. but it's better to pass a finger over the sensor than tapping screen imo.
-i think it's hard to notice speed advantage over S2 right out of the box, but i have :
installing / uninstalling apps is totally different.
Launching heavy ones too. Boot time, gallery images processing after scrolling more than 4 pictures at once, even swype keyboard is immediate on defaut speed setting compared to S2 fastness already.
Globally the system seems smoother here and there, and it's easy to say, i have still some friends with S2 around me who want to compare when they see it.
-For 1 hand handling, it's only a matter of taste and hand size.. Personnaly, the phone is just a bit bigger than a S2, i was thinking looking at threads and specs damn maybe it will be huge. Well not all, even for my friends too, it's barely bigger than a S2. And i mainly use 2 hands on such phones (since i use swype).
I don't advertise for this phone more than another, i would still have liked to get a camera improvement instead of some 4S sensor for that price.
Now, Ppl complaining about heat on S2, will still complain on S3. (Get over it, it's same on many recent phones, even my little Xperia Ray during only calls)
-Polycarbonate -plastic- argueing is useless : the phone feels great, seems like i have a better grip than S2 in my hand (it slipped a few times) and it's totally a beauty when you see it in real (i have marble white version).
-Pentile / RGB debate, damn sorry guys, it's so nerdy. Once you get one in front of you, you can't distinguish anything with bare eyes. The screen is perfectly clear, you don't see anything, photos and videos are more enjoyable than before thanks to high resolution. And, damn, i missed that amoled screen while i was temporarly using LCD of my Sony X Ray.
Else, don't be disappointed, it's still Android, you may get small bugs here and there, but if you want no bug, you may still try to get some 2000 phone for calls / sms / playing snake game / noncustomisable tones etc.. Feel free to evolve or not.

For battery part, i have to say, it looks normal to me, 1 day of full usage, 2 days of average one... All recent phones are the same nowadays, excepted for Note and Razor Maxx.

Guess what happened?
1m forced fall to the ground.
My phone has nothing, no scratch, not even some usual message saying "damaged SDcard" forcing you to reboot to get use of it again.
And anyway, i ve been smart, i paid for a full replacement insurance.
So ppl should stop with their "it breaks easily" whatever phone it is, off course nowadays phones break at some point with all that high tech, you only have to be careful of your stuff, you are grown up, aren't you?

It's all good till the different kind of useless test"benchmark etc." if the phones specs better than all smartphones and Arena crew in"maindisadvantages" section shows thing that dont affect performance and quality. Then why the tests shows different sometimes bad marks for s3?

SGS3 is huge design flaw, it breaks very easily, two of the three tests SGS3 screen fails just with one drop.

I just wanna share with you my very short experience with SGS3:
- internet freezes in the middle of loading one page and exits (good thing that when you open it, it remembers the page you were trying to access)
- there are almost no games for it (???): accessing Gameloft mobile page will let you know that you have 6 available games (to compare with SGS2, 94 available titles)
- Notification bar, beyond its greatness, has a small annoying "bug": when you scroll it down (it has more than 5 items available) it will NOT take you to the first item (which is WIFI) and , until you get used to it, you will many times hit Bluetooth or other tabs)
- the Stay awake function is almost useless , unless you are in good lighting conditions and you look perpendicular on the screen, not from the sides (so believe me, you will have to use the fingers a lot to keep it awake)
- you dont notice any speed advantage over the SGS2 with regular use (I am sure there is one)
- one very very annoying thing: the Automatic brightness ticks itself from time to time, and you just realize the screen is not lit enough (then you need to check the Brightness settings)
- the phone can hardly be handled with one hand only and the Home button is almost impossible to press if you hold the phone in one hand
- S-voice is as useless as Siri
Dont get me wrong, I love the phone, and will get it back (this time paid too much for it and had to recover some of the money for other purpose), but it needs to be tweaked by Samsung with some firmware update.

1) It's heavier - now nearly as heavy as the 4S
2) much larger screen - more surface area vs thickness means higher risk of torsion (bending) breakage.
3) Gorilla Glass 2 is 30% thinner - same strength as GG1 but makes the surface area to thickness ratio (point (2)above) worse.
4) Glass on SGS2 is fully protected by plastic rim/frame. On S3 glass sits higher than the rim/frame
5) Glass on S3 is glued/attached to the display. Any glass breakage will almost always break the display. Regardless fixing glass breakage means you have to replace both.
Dropped my S2 a few of times with virtually no damage. All 3 times it happened to be out of it's case. Based on the videos had it been an S3 it would be broken.

I like the S3 but have had my reservations about upgrading - now even more so. I think I'll wait for the SGS4. Hopefully Samsung learns from this; and also lifts the bar from S3 to S4 as much as it did from S1 to S2
