Hi, I recentely bought the LG but cant seem to find the radio as stated in the review. Do you have to download it? Also if its in the phone is it able to work without internet connection?

I have the phone. Overall experience is okay. Sorely lacking is the HD video recording and sometimes slowdowns while multitasking. Battery life is good for an Android phone. The firmware seems not optimized well enough, as it constantly use CPU cycles and RAM even when idle. LG offers only 4GB of internal storage, which only 2.7GB is available for user (as "Internal SD"). Inserting an external microSD card will not help, since apps will always be installed to "internal SD", thus making the microSD only for user data (music, films, books that you copy from PC). So, installing big games like Grand Theft Auto III or FIFA 12 is currently out of the question.
In this price point, I think only HTC One V and the Optimus L7 is offering budget phones. One V wins in the camera and better CPU, but loses on the screen size and thinness (and probably battery life). But, you can also look for Sony Ericsson XPERIA Arc (or Arc S), which price is probably only 30-40 dollars more expensive, but have better camera, better CPU (albeit also single-core), bigger internal storage, and also will be updated to ICS in a few weeks time. But, then again, you'll be buying a near EOL device with the Arc.

I wish GSM would've done synthetic benchmark with phones within the same price range. What's the point of including only phones twice the price? It doesn't answer the question how this phone compared to other phones of the same price level.

secondly, $50 is a huge difference in a crowded & competative android phone market
finally this one has 1700mah battery with piss-poor outdated SoC, and hence its battery is iys strongpoint.
And this is why its irrelevant to compare it to Galaxy Ace.

You can in fact edit the toggles on the notification bar. In the "Edit" menu just press the little icon with the pencil and three lines.
