Join the madness. I've been a faithful nokia fan for years. Especially the infamous nseries. N95 n96 n97 n900 n9 2690 and now 808. I didnt get the n8 because I wanted to replace my n900. Believe what you may but I have updated all my phones and all work quite fluidly except my n900 whose screen is cracked. :-( I want a pureview lumia. Sorry android fans. I haven't been using my gs3 that much. My brother has it now. I wont even touch apple. I'm mad. I'm nokia

everything about symbian and nokia user interface is ugly haha no offense to nokia fans.. the home and widgets are ugly, the notification looks ugly, app drawer very basic, etc etc... the camera is really on the top, but why would i prefer that if it causes your phone's design bulky and ugly. the design was really ugly, looks similar to their old phones, why did nokia do such?> :D oh my god, i cant imagine myself holding that and my seatmates have ss galaxy s3, htc onex, lg4xhd, sony xperia s and iphone5.. shame on me haha

this mobile has only one disadvantage for me:
- The phone is quite bulky and heavy
and this is a BIG disadvantage. maybe a no-go.

I got mine about a week ago from Singapore, as its not sanctioned in Australia unfortunately. I must say this is the best Nokia i have ever had, and after comparing it to SGS,IP and HTCx, im glad i went with it. Not that theres anything wrong with the former, its just that the 808 suited me down to the ground.. I dont have any problems with Belle, its can hold its own ground. There is no perfect UI. Even Lumia has its drawbacks, mainly features.
The 808 sure makes me feel special, at least in the eyes of those who i show it too.. "just wow" ..says it all. Beats me why Elop restricted its release to Global markets and also not allow Carriers to stock it.. ? Crazy marketing.. !!

Best smartphone review I've read so far.
Great job GSMarena!
I'll be definitely getting one this December.
It cost around P26,000 here in the Philippines.
With full warranty and unlocked.
Long live Nokia!

AnonD-27765, 23 Jun 2012How is microSIM card a disadvantage of this phone when ever... moremicro SIM is a disadvantage, until every single device out there uses a micro SIM.
You can say that "oh, this disadvantage doesn't apply to me, since I'm not bothered by it just like I'm not bothered by the lack of 3rd party apps."
For me, I use the same SIM for phone and data because I'm on the move. Sometime I need to take the SIM out of the phone and plug it into the MiFi thing for infrastructure wifi. Works great now that my N8 and Huawei Mifi thingy uses the same SIM size, but I need to think of a solution after I get myself the 808...

"With the Microsoft deal a gamble that's yet to pay off, with plenty of people unable to get over the way MeeGo was treated, with a market obsessed with software and apps, you'd think they'd have other things on their mind than developing what's probably the most revolutionary technology this industry has seen for quite some time. Madness? This is Nokia."
One of the best closing paragraphs on a review I have read in a long time tbh.

I will choose s3 even the camera not the best but it is enough for casual usage, if want more better quality photo I will use EVIL camera because 808 stil cannot beat EVIL camera with bokeh effect and fast shutter with low noise under No Flash LOW LIGHT condition.

The sound (Rich Recording Technology) is one of the strongest sides of the 808!
