Nokia Lumia 900 review: Europass

4 July 2012
It took the Nokia Lumia 900 just a few days to top the US sales charts and see delighted handshakes quickly turn into group hugs, as Nokia, Microsoft and AT&T, which carries it exclusively stateside, were busy celebrating the flagship's performance in recent months...

Looks like a nice phone with great usability. As usual we are awaiting "spec-peepers" to scream around. Naturally it would be nice to be able to upgrade to wp8, but what would that really say about wp8? wp7.x platform is crippled and thus a wp8 on top of that would not be a real upgrade. The timing is unoptimal of course, but 1,5 years from now on seeing somebody using Lumia 900 with 7.8 it will still look sleek, fluid and modern, the specs just wont show through. And saying its dead is just silly rubbish! wp7.x gets new apps eeevry day, now and next year... You are just not old enough to realize that phones are practically old at launch, there is always something new in the pipeline. Many droid phones never gets any god upgrades, but still they get apps and most guys are happy with that.

I like what GSMArena said here:

The premium build, the best screen on a Windows phone, the fluid UI and the exclusive apps are good enough reasons in our books. Not to mention, it does look like a proper flagship, and some of the new droids should take notice.

I agree wholeheartedly this is the exact reason it makes sense to get this over other windows phones.

Whilst there is no denying the flexibility of Android and the smoothness of the iOS UI, it is incomprehensible as to why globally Windows Phone has been criticized in certain quarters, often by technology journalists with blatant prejudices. It is extremely fast, offers a very user friendly experience, and Nokia's devices have a great hardware frame to run this OS on. I expect, as IDC have hinted, that Windows Phone will be as major 3rd player in the smartphone eco-system.

This is a device DEAD ON ARRIVAL.

Not the N9 as Nokia proclaimed.

They really need to stop giving false public statements (Stephen Elop, sigh)

Not only it does not match the specs of high-end Droids but also goes below last year's top-dog S2!
Extremely bad move for Nokia, I only hope that they will come to their senses one day and realize that they are on a wrong path...
