Can't wait for the first reviews on the Nokia lumia 920. . Lets be honest folks . Its just a little to early to judge . But if were judging on looks alone. Id have the lumia anytime above all others ,it looks amazing I have the 800 at mo. I love it. And anyone who sees it/ uses it simply fall in love. To all android and I phone peeps ,go to a store pick one up and play with it for 5 mins. Then use your own. As i did. I got mine a week later and will never look back. So i hope that nokia will do well are i will be lost.. And there's all so the fact they do put bread on table for peeps who work for them. Be nice

All you Nokia fans out there must have very short memories.
The after sales and warranty is no better now then it was in the days of the 3210.
I would not touch a Nokia in protest to how they treat their customers.
Sorry Nokia but other manufacturers got it right, that's why Apple rules

Anonymous, 07 Sep 2012I think you already have plentiful of answers to those ques... moreAgree with you about 80% of what you said especially Nokia needs to get quickly from the mud as much as they can cause Nokai can't taste another 2 years from losing both market share and money beside customer loyalty wich in my opinion the most important thing
You said that Nokia never learned from the past wich sured us about the weakness of the windows mobile os to take its share from the smartphone cake
but let us say
Windos phone comparatively starts to catch up with som operating systems (ios) fo example in optimaization and smoothy speeed and restriced ways of it
...now Windows mobile starts to catch android and symbian in supporting SD cards,Nfc,HD screens and strong chipsets and cameras...
and I think thats matter of time to catch up in the real land with both I os and Android os if get strong Market place
Thats Nokia last chance...Nokia Fan

Fade., 07 Sep 2012Lets make this clear first. I'm an Android user and I like ... moreExactly....just think that wat on earth would you do with a quad core processor on a mobile phone even if your phone has it......mobile will be mobiles and computers will be computers....even in computers having quad core processors is needless for basic consumer usage then leave about cell phones....

Nobody wants Apple and Samsung to monopolyse the whole smartphone market. Nokia has lost a lot recently and learning a lot in the same time. I am Fan of Samsung's galaxy phones and in fact have both s2 and s3 with me, but still I want the good old Nokia to come back and show us its old magic which has made smartphones what they are today :)

Simply Amazing, 07 Sep 2012Guys...Let's say that Nokia will not cheat us and 'll do (i... moreI think you already have plentiful of answers to those questions.
Nevertheless, here goes:
1) I personally dislike the "color schemes" here presented, and although the phone design does reminisce the design started by N9, they have showcase plentiful of new technologies which are actual innovations.
Personal tastes apart, it does look like they have a strong "hardware" offering with real true innovations.
2) But here is where the bad news come. A phone is the full package of Hardware + Software.
Nokia lost their lead by lagging behind in evolving either their Symbian or to evolve from Symbian. They are in dire need of results, right now -- not a year or two from now.
Mr Elop origins in Microsoft blinds him to see that Windows Mobile never really took off, that it's still a niche amongst the pie of smartphones and rebranding it to Windows Phone doesn't really erase this.
Sure, Windows Phone is now a 2012 OS, but so were *most* of the major versions of Windows Mobile for their respective times.
Mr Elop continues the same dire and fateful path that Nokia was walking, only with a twist: now the OS that little to nobody wants isn't their own, but rather something they need to purchase from somebody else.
They need to capitalize their past investments in R&D fast.
Unfortunately Windows Phone does not fit that bill, it has failed time and time again to gain any actual traction on the marketplace. Waiting for it to eventually become a success is something for which Nokia simply cannot afford to wait (quite literally!!)

Well after all's said n done, all i see is just a REALLY DESPERATE attempt by a dieing n fading company 2 somehow cling on 2 dear life by any n all means! This faking was an act of UTTER DESPERATION by NOkia 2 hype up their only trump card - Windows Phone! Un4tntly they got caught in d act as they went 4 an overkill! U gotta feel 4 em, i suppose; at least they're probably not as greedy as (Cr)Apple, tho in it's heyday NOkia was pretty monopolizing, but luckily 4 NOkia back in d good ol days there was NO COMPETITION in d smartfon arena n no major challengers!

AnonD-50083, 06 Sep 2012With that reasoning, "long term plan" means absol... moreYeah, sorry bud but I have been hearing that tale of "This year will be the year of Windows Mobile" for far too many years (and so have the investors).
The "new thing" which you are talking about is actually an aging dinosaur in this industry, one which has proven time after time to be a turd to invest in.
