It is a good thing the financial analyst can also influence what we buy since they are always right ... ;( and we can't think for ourselves, and it's easier to check the shares' graph than the specs sheet or make up our mind at the store .... where phone companies should compete

    hello every one...

so we finally have big guys from NOKIA, well i think 920 is just great ( well the 820 too).
I see some people are worried about these things...
    1. no micro sd.
well 920 got a inbuilt 32gb disk space and additional 7gb (so u got approx 40gb) , hmmmmmm i don't think many people will need more disk space than that. more than enough for an average user and just enough for a heavy user.

    2. not quad core.
its true that these are not quad core but guys don't miss that these monsters have krait cores, i'm sure u guys have seen the performance of krait cores. becoz if u consider other dual cores, krait cores will be the best. so dnt worry about that.

    3. NO radio.
well i haven't seen many people using their smart phone to listen to the radio, but guys i honestly dnt know about how many people listen to the radio with their smart phone. so i'll just leave it. (try using the internet radio.)

    4. NO HDMI
absolutely correct, i agree. HDMI connection is important but it lacks HDMI. lets just hope that upcoming devices get it.

    5. no shock proof & no water proof.
i dont know wether this device is water proff or not but i feel this device can take hit, its covered with polycarbonate

Obviously, Nokia's focus in the design is to make the phones really stand out against the competition of black and white smartphones.
The new Lumia's have very competitive specs sheet, certainly on par with the others but I really miss their metal-clad E-series phones. When the Ativ S was announced, E Series immediately came to mind.
I thought Nokia should bring back BUSINESS in the game: I want METAL LUMIA!!!!!

First of all i love this phone! Great design and great innovations, but something is missing and i just don't no why:

            1) QuadCore: it doesn't worry me too much because i think it will be sufficient

            2) MicroSD: why not??!!

            3) HDMI: again why not?!! my current sonyericsson xperia arc s has one...

            4) FM transmitter: i simply don't get it even my old nokia n32 has one...

Great smartphone but why the hell didn't Nokia put the above mentioned hardware on it?

the price for the 920 in Belgium is going to be 599 euros. I'd rather go for the samsung ativ, it's got a sd card slot for 559 euros

TruthSeekr, 06 Sep 2012These are only the beginning...like someone else said WP8 i... more"And with a feature-list like this (pureview, HD+, built-in wireless charging) they've got a winner. Maybe two."

                      Not necessarily.
A smartphone isn't just the hardware it is made of, the software is just as important as the hardware.

They have showcased pretty impressive novelties, but do not forget they are pushing/forcing along with those novelties the WP8.

If they stuck to being a true phone manufacturer (that is, one that doesn't make exclusive deals that binds them to some marginal OS, but rather one that makes products according to their consumers tastes) their phones would probably sell like hotcakes in their Android variants.

But they haven't and now, first of all, they need to convince the crowd to buy WP8 and only then showcase their hardware.

But i like what Nokia have given us for specs.
Balance. I would of liked a microSD slot for the 920.
But Nokia say i don't need it, then i agree.
I'll learn to be ok with that.

Based on the fact that my lumia 800 attracts attention, friends are all impressed with the beautiful design, and everybody who has handled my phone irrespective of the os they use, are impressed and they'll be like WOW this thing is beautiful, the images are so sharp and its snappy and the camera is clear e.t.c and many of them were surprised to see how a phone with real social network integration works Yeah based on that fact and my love for Nokia, I am getting lumia 920 as soon as it is released

xenon flash uses more battery than led flash... consumers usually complain on batery life thats why company used led instead of xenon for user friendly device

Nokia obviously didn't want to do that with the new Lumias, but the 808 PureView was already going to be pretty chunky because of the camera, so they went ahead and put Xenon.
