Apple iPhone 5 vs. Samsung Galaxy S III: All rise

25 October 2012
When we review phones we try to put them in context, and tie everything up with a snapshot of the market and the closest alternatives. Now, we usually keep droids and iPhones separate because honestly they just don’t mix. But every now and then...

I had a 4S previously and bought a Galaxy S3 just a couple of months back. The Galaxy S3 is a beast when it comes to the hardware, But I was disappointed by the Android OS which was very laggy and everytime i exit after playing a game, it used to take a few seconds to load all the widgets on my homescreen and when i pressed on the Menu icon all the app icons took time to load. The problem is not with the phone but with the OS. Android OS is just not as efficient as iOS.

Its really disappointing to have such slow software on such a monster of a phone. Now I just bought a new Apple iPhone 5 because I was tired of Android. Feels great to be back on iOS. I miss video playback on the Galaxy S3 and many other S3 features, but I'm happy that im back on iOS. iOS is so smooth and the gameplay is so fluid. no Lag and the apps developed for iPhone feel so polished!

Ultimately its upto the user as to what he wants from the phone. Both the phones are really good and Samsung Galaxy S3 is a really powerful phone if not for android OS.

Samsung SIII’s Display is better than Apple for more information

    http://www.trendsfair.com/samsung-siiis-display-is-better-than-apple/

It is known to everyone that Apple and Samsung are the best enemies that are quarrelling for the smart phone licenses. A research firm IHS said that Samsung Galaxy SIII has better display than Apple’s iPhone 5. The research proved that sIII...

Actually all thought is right, it's depend to user. What they want to each phone. If you like java, radio, apps without jailbreaking go to s3. If you can afford to buy apps, or look rich go to s5. Both phone are good, the only bad is the user giving feedback to competitor of phone their using.

From using both the iphone5 and the s3, the iPhone has the victory. Yes the s3 is better suited for videos because if its size, the iPhone still takes win because the videos run with a more smooth playback with a clearer picture than that of the s3. Games run better on the iPhone as well. I have always been a Samsung fan, but the iPhone 5 outshines the s3, in almost all aspects for everyday use. It's a bit more expensive but trust me, it's worth it. Hands down the iPhone 5 is top of its class.

AnonD-100327, 12 Jan 2013Such a long and detailed review iPhone 5 vs Samsung Galaxy ... moreI absolutely agree with you. I had to buy an iPhone because I was getting sick of Android. Now the experience with my iPhone 5 has been glorious. The interaction with the user was intelligently designed to have solutions to everyday activities. Not so with Android. There are a bunch of thing I wish iOS had, but I'm pretty happy with the way I can interact with my phone. I also think this review is inaccurate.

The s3 is a good phone don't get me wrong but it still isn't up to the standards of apples I5

The banter between loyal Apple fans vs. the world will
probably never end, but it doesn’t help Apple fans any more
now that Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has admitted
that he thinks the iPhone is “… somewhat behind with
features in the smartphone business.” That’s right, he said it.
He also mentioned in the same statement that Samsung is a
big competitor because they are currently making great
products – key word there, currently.
Here is the exact quote from Wozniak during his visit at the
                    Businessweek’s Best Brand Awards:
“I am proud that we have such loyal fans. But this loyalty is
not given; the need to have the best products is always there.
Currently we are in my opinion somewhat behind with features
in the smartphone business. Others have caught up. Samsung
is a big competitor. But precisely because they are currently
making great products.”I have to say that Mr. Wozniak hit the nail on the head
when it comes to customer loyalty to Apple – it is most
certainly not given, and in order to keep that fan base you
have to constantly produce the best products. While the
iPhone may carry an elegant look, it’s very much what’s on
the inside that counts even more. In my review of iOS 6
yesterday I mentioned that basically iOS 6.1 is just as I
expected it to be and I feel very indifferent about the
upgrade from iOS 5.1; additionally, I don't feel like I lost
anything by waiting months after its initial release. Why?
Because they’re practically the same thing. Give or take a few
features and what seems to be a fluidity boost, I already
knew exactly what to expect. No disappointment, but no
surprises either. It’s a predictable cycle at this point on the
iPhone for both the hardware and the software: one device
that runs on one software with minimal changes to both with
each passing year; then you look at Android which was an
insane amount of variety and each new software upgrade
features a vastly different environment that you practically
have to re-learn. Even if you don’t like change you have to
admit that Android has come out with some pretty cool
                    features.
The iPhone is very much like a real apple: different sizes
and a few flavors, but in the end when you look at it it’s still
the same shape and consistency with minimal varying qualities
                    - it is still an apple. This method of theirs worked for a
while, but it seems that if any time is a good time to branch
out now is the best time to do so. Galaxy s3 is the better phone.

Its all based on preference... If you like aesthetics then go for an Iphone but if you like performance and specs go for an android. Im personally an android person myself.
