a great failure for lg again,surprisingly the 5-6 months old s3 is beating it in every respect,,s3 is surely the king even after long time and it wil remain the best untill the release of S4, s3 is on top in gsmarena rankings too,and well its the phone which defeated htc one x,their own s2,lg optimus 4x,apple iphone 5 and now optimus g too,,lg is not a choice even

Asus Padfone 2 is already a better phone than the LG Optimus G and if that wasn't enough Asus has a much better track record with software updates. The only phone which has a chance of being better this year is LG Nexus 4.

      This comparisson is already obsolete as the Asus Padfone 2 has shown even better benchmarks (and has a lighter skinned UI).

        I think optimus G is the best android phone of the year from all aspects
        The optimus G body style is fantastic and there isn,t any same for this .
        As you kknow the S4 chip doesn,t have any same.
        At last , this phone is great and highly recommended to buy.
        I,m one of the big fans of LG brand.
        LG is completely reliable.

          Again the LG flagship fails to impress. i guess the Optimus 2x was their greatest achievement and wil remain that way... if the S4 quad was equipped by HTC or Motorola then the Galaxy S3 would have lost. Waiting eagerly for Motorola Razr HD Maxx. Now that will be a formidable opponent.
          Gsmarena says software update will solve the Optimus G probs but history has shown how bad LG is with software update. Trust me ppl,the Optimus G will remain the same; inferiority included.

            Maybe we should compare optimus g , s3 and j butterfly.it is triple threat battle for number one.

              I guess a new phone with new chip architecture will retake the crown then but not soon maybe next year. The Galaxy S IV maybe..
