HTC Windows Phone 8X review: Signed and sealed

06 November 2012
So, it’s all but settled that Windows Phone 8 is the biggest thing to happen to smartphones this year. But are the handful of flagships carrying it the best thing that could happen to users? Properly powered and engineered to perfection...

Okay, now I'm just waiting for the review of L920. I have checked other reviews and most of them are biased. I will wait for GSMarena's judgement on L920.

The design is cool but I hate its top and bottom bezels. Its a bit tall. Xperia T has height of 129.4 mm and a much larger screen 4.55 inch. While 8X with 132.4 mm yet only 4.3 inch? If only its a little bit shorter, retaining its 4.3 inch, I might consider buying it.

Lumia wannabe falls flat on its face! HTC are destined to be the also rans among Android and now among WP8.

Wow. The 8x is more of a turd than I had originally gave it credit for. It is like so many Chinese KURFs were the design of the chassis mimics a great handset, yet the screen is smaller, the flash storage is smaller, camera is not on par. Only thingbit's missing is the tv antenna and the duel sim cards.
                LOL HTC KURF 8x.

Why is no lock screen short cut an issue? Is a lock screen a lock screen when it has short cuts?

Android devices need the fast CPUs to be responsive, iOS and WP not as much.

Windows 8 doesn't do anything for me and WP8 isn't much better.

Almost similar dimension with Ativ S but with smaller screen and not much different (advantage) in term of hardware or software compare to Ativ S... Better go for bigger screen rather than bigger bezels....

If you bothered to learn more about its performance, you would know that it's actually very close to the quad-core Krait inside the Optimus G.

Seriously, why is it a problem with the dual core CPUs if even the iPhone 5 works well with it? I don't get.
