HTC One X+ review: The complete package

08 November 2012
There's no denying that the HTC One X was an amazingly solid smartphone. On the surface it even looked like as good a package as its main rival at the time, the Galaxy S III, and having a head-start to the market it was almost expected for it to become a huge success...

For those complaining about sd slot, OTG is now available in One X+ and One X with JB. Do u still think sd micro slot is absolutely needed??? Just curious.

The image quality seems HTC standard, that is to say: dreadful. Sorry, but it seems all competitors can do better. I'd like to love the phone, but I guess, with that photos, the One X+ just isn't for me.

This device has been out for 6 MONTHS in the US and its STILL only available on ONE carrier. Thats why it hasnt sold that well and is losing groudn to other devices. HTC doesnt seem to get it, that to get huge sales the devices have to be easily available to obtain. This was not done with the One x. Then 6 months later they give another exclusive deal to AT&T again as a refresh and still limit it to AT&T. This is one reason I'm getting tired of their business model. They can't seem to get a flagship device released on ALL major US carrier the way Samsung and Apple do. And this is why they're falling behind every quarter.

Keeps on stabbing or rather milking their fans.
One day they will eat their own abandonment

Market is only relevant, and market rejects HTC phones by large. Do you see that every quarter HTC sales, revenues, and profits are going down very fast?

And your quote of nonreplacable battery proves you understand nothing. Except AAPL, all others are losers. Look at top smartphone's manufacturers from Q3: 1. Samsung, 3. Huawei, 4. Sony, and 5. ZTE. They all have microSD card slot, and except few top Sony's and Huawei's models, all have replacable battery. That is what market want.

Intersting... "Last year's" tech manages to top equal latest gen. It's sure a great phone for the right price. I am hoping for a right price. I would recommend this phone this Christmas in Europe over the S3 or the iPhone 5. I think that those who say 32 or 64 gb are not enough are not the majority. Surveys are made, and i saw that 16-32 GB is enough. Not everyone watches HD videos ( i mean a lot) And cloud is getting more use everywhere. I am sorry, but the HD videos argument is invalid. Show me clear statistics (world wide) how many smartphone users watch, HD videos on phones. We just grew with SD support, but slowly we will forget it. iPhone users are doing this from 2007. And i compare them because there are quite a few to take into consideration. And yes, piracy maybe a issue here. It's clearly that major companies in the business of movies want only streaming.. so no need for local HD storage.

hTC again went the apple way and omitted a memory expansion slot which is one of android's pros against the iphone. When will they ever listen to what users want.

i have a HOX, and i should say that i am disgusted by HTC, you dont have to to be a battery expert to know that 1800mh is low for such a monster, and only 2 gb for apps on a 32gb phone?
when i saw the HOX+ and the updates, i felt cheated, they could have made these from the start, now for me who bought the HOX on the first week this a stab in the back
