I've had my 820 for 8 years now. It still works well but it is not my everyday phone. I have owned many phones (Android, IOS and WIN) this one is the best built of all of them. Everything still works well, no issues with anything. It's too bad the app Store had such poor developer support.
The Lumia and HERE apps were/are pretty good, still. The AMOLED display still looks good, even 8 years later.

This phone has been incredible. I too have had it 6 years, keep thinking I should update, but it still does everything i need, never freezes, just the battery is starting to tire by the end of the day now.

The best phone ever that I had. It's fast slick and very responsive. It has a pretty good camera, front and back. Few glitches here and there, but don't all phones have those. The only down side is the battery life for me. But you can get a better battery from eBay for 5 bucks. Windows phone is something that I love about my Lumia 820. And live tiles look awesome.

I have the galaxy note Sgh-i717 and I never have liked all the junk apps on Android, but I liked all the things you get for free. I read about wp8 and how all the bloat ware can be uninstalled. So I purchased the cheapest wp8 I could get. Its the Nokia 521. I use Facebook and YouTube and on Android tubemate. My cheap Windows Phone downloads free videos and music. You have to transfer them to the sd card with a PC. I am buying a new phone on the 1st and I could buy a S4 or a Windows phone. Price limit is 500.00. My decision is the Lumia 820. Reason why, Penta banded, still can download free music and videos, no rooting to get rid of bloat ware, and finally zero lag plus the memory expansion slot. My friends are the same as I am, its so damn stressful to have a phone lock up on you. Also I like the squares i don't have to go thru a lot of apps to find the info in seeking. Its right on the desktop.
