Sure it's very reliableand and I wouldn't call it upper low-end. It has good quality displayer(262K col) and 1,3 mpix camera. We can say that mtorola L6 is low-end due to very small dispalyer and poor camera. This is typical middle-class phone in very good price. It's much better than nokia 6070. Nokia loses in everything.

I want this phone, my sister has got the k700i but i would like to know what the difference is ? (apart from the memory card) Roughly how many pictures,videos and MP3s can you fit on there? Please can someone help!:)

I´m doing what I can to get the money to buy this phone. The idea is to replace my Z300 (nice looks, poor functions). Here in Aregntina, the price without contract is 300 dollars, with a 1 year contract is 170.
I really love its capabilities, the camera is awesome, and a card slot could be lovely, but it´s OK this way. Is the gap with the K750 that big??? I hope not, ´cause I can´t buy the 750.
Conclusion, great phone, great features, elegant and subtle design, a strong and more than capable contender.

I had just bought this phone k510i 2 weeks back. last week, i had downloaded some songs, next day while i was taking pictures it suddenly crashed, switch off/on, removing battery didn help.
the sony-ericsson repair center reloaded the software, it worked again, he said songs i had downloaded must have had virus.!!! (but it was clean). later after reloading software. the battery backup became very poor. only 1/2 day. now i have given the phone back to the repair center. if u have any comments on this. pl. help me out on this.

i like the phone! since i lost my k300i, i want this cute phone, but can i use the mp3 for my sms alert? coz one thing i hate about my k300i is i have 6 boring sms alerts, in addition, does its joystick wont hang after months of usage? i exprience that kind of problem on my k300i. one more thing, the price of this is really reasonable for its features and functions! uve got an advantage if u buy this, i saw its price yesterday and i think i can earn it easily. please answer my question...

Just a comment. The camera does support zoom (2x and 4x), but you need to put the image size to 1280x1024 (full size) for 4x (320x280 output) zoom and 2x zoom (640x480 output).
With image size 640x480 only 2x zoom is available.
Utilize to zoom with the Joystick.

There are many options from SE if you want a phone with a memory slot. This is an "upper" low-end phone, I think the features are great. I have both a K500 and K750, and I find that this K510 bridges the gap between the two.
Questions:
1) Can speaker phone be activated before the other party answers the phone call? This feature is available on the K750. On the K500, the call must be answered in order to activate speaker phone.
2) Can MP3 files be assigned as the SMS alert? Again, available on the K750, not K500.
3) Can video be played back at full screen? From the looks of it, I'd say the answer is no since the camera features look more like the K500's.
