Samsung Galaxy Grand I9082 review: GrandisSIMo

5 March 2013
This is by no means intended as a moment of relief from the building tension, but our timing isn’t without a sense of humor. Assuming that all eyes are set on Samsung to, again, deliver the godfather of Android smartphones, the one we’re about to review is more...

I just wonder if Samsung could put just a handful good handsets out there instead of 48 rather pathetic, one ok and 1 decent phone. 5 inch screen, TFT and 480X800 resolution?...You got to be kidding me..

Everything in the device is good and sticking to its price considering indian market 20000inr is a decent amount, but only lame thing is that it is a dual sim phone.

Samsung droids usually have excellent video players, but this one wasn't quite up to par. It can't play 1080p videos, but more importantly, it lacks support for MKV files. It sticks to MP4 and AVI (some XviD files didn't play smoothly). DivX movies were fine all the way up to 720p.The video player lets you tweak the viewing experience out of the screen by adjusting video brightness, Auto play next, play speed, SoundAlive and enable subtitles. The Samsung Galaxy Grand did win some points for its subtitles support. It scans for all subtitles, so the file doesn't have to have the same name as the video file.
Then how the hell does it record 1080p if it cant play 1080p?

if you think Samsung Galaxy Grand is too expensive, and you need affordable dual-SIM Android phones, you can look for Lenovo S890 or Lenovo P770
