I use xperia the screen in mindblowing with real colours,i have a samsung s3, iphone 4s,ipad 2,ipad mini,ipad 3,i tested the screen on songs and believe me buddy sony had the best screen,You might be correct till xperia s screen had poor viewing angles but sony mobiles are getting better and better after all if the screen was washed out it wont be sold out in france and uk and in uswitch usa it overtook samsung s3 for the first time no phone has done it sometime now,Also what about the s4 s3s son yeah same design with higher specs ask samsung to take a beginners course from sony on design,For jealous buddies the best thing to do is scratch

For those who are saying that the Xperia Z is the most beautiful phone, you may be right, if you are looking at the phone with the screen turned off or looking the phone with a straight angle, because I don't believe that a screen washed out will help the phone look pretty.

Sony has a Dragontrail glass and i think it's better than Gorilla but HTC has better screen. Sony could already installed IPS screen.

I believe that the screen is one of the most important parts of a smartphone, since you are looking and using it all the time, and if Sony can make a decent screen, then it can make a decent smartphone.

Hello friends.....
Sony xperia z has very poor TFT screen which is the least type screen which is protected by scratch resistant glass only..........Its waste
But
HTC Butterfly has Super LCD3 screen with high clarity and which is protected by wonderfull hard and tough Corning Gorilla Glass 2
Now say which is better and tolerate the Hard perfomance........?

Come on! Butterfly has only one problem: 16Gb without MicroSD. But is dies reason to bye Sony with awful screen and sound? June will come 4.2 and Sense 5!
P.s.: for me I'll get HTC One, 4.7" is quite enough))

Its totally one sided reveiw in favor of sony. HTC have its own benchmarks and Sense 4.0 has always upper edge on any device.

Butterfly has better s... moreIn Terms of design almost everywhere you will see that Sony Xperia Z has been rated Excellent for it's beautiful design and the IP57 certification just is gift along with it! if you've done your research then you'll see it is better in terms of design . as far as the screen contrast is concerned it will be fixed with an upcoming update. it's performance in quadrant's is way better and the camera performance is better and the UI is DOES NOT lag in anyway what so ever. the only thing that would bug most of the user's is the lack of contrast and the feeble loudspeaker . with the 4.2 update ( 75% ) chances are they might introduce the screen calibration option which would give the contrast level issue a rest completely. you should get your facts straight before you say something about anything .

the contrast is just the matter of software and will be solved by the first update which will come soon.
about the colors, i have this phone and i see no washed out colors. they're vibrant and life like. i compare it with colors on XS and Acro s and it was waaaaay better than them.
