I think it's not the best comparison. While the G pro looks like a decent phone the Note2 really does come with superior productivity (S-pen and software features). The performance difference can be mostly traced only with Benchmarking tools and I suppose software makes bigger difference, Samsung's is just better and faster.
Another thing is Super Amoled. I think no matter how great the LCD will be, it's still far from Amoled's jaw-dropping looks.
Another thing, the G Pro looks really almost exactly like the Note 2, while the Note 2 certainly has made a name for itself. I wouldn't feel too comfortable holding a "Note 2 knock-off". Just my 2 cents.

The LG Optimus Pro, even with the higher SLCD resolution screen and camera can't come close to MY set of requirements for a productive device like the Galaxy Note II or even the first Galaxy Note. LG simply has no active (not capacitive) Wacom digitizer system like the S Pen.
The Note series with the S Pen can be used for graphic editing with apps like the Autodesk Sketchbook or the new Adobe Photoshop Touch. The Touch can actually operate in higher pixel count as I've tried. Pretty close to professional outputs, and this makes the Note as a very useful portable Wacom Cintique-like device with ample power processor and battery.
This is the biggest difference in my view between the two.

im owning note2 and im verry happy for it not that big difference between the 720p and 1080 and 1.6 4 cores exynos are enough to run everythings smoothly and battery is better and the camera is great plus the s pen functionality and soon will get the 4.2.2 update and finally when the note3 comes it will be the upgrading time for the real 2013 beast

note 2 for sure, better battery life, s-pen and has better features like split screen, smart stay and air view etc. and of course its cheaper and will probably get better updates.

Bummer - no stylus LG, you slipped up there. If it had one i'd jumped over from owning a Note 2.

I am a note 2 owner but will happily admit that the pro g has it beat... 6 months is a long time in phone technology.
Rumour has it that a 5.9 inch note 3 is just around the corner. I suspect that it will be a special up SGS4 and will take the lead again... Such is the mobile world.

As much as i hate to admit it, i cant deny the fact that Samsung is undoubtedly the trend setter as far as android devices are concerned... Every new device that comes to market is compared to sammy's flagship of corresponding segment even though its more than 6 months older..

The far superior battery life of the Note wins it for me, also does everything at superfast speeds. It doesn't seem like The Qualcomm quadcores can offer that good battery life, especially with 1080P screens...

designs are exactly the same and Note 2 advantage is its great S-pen but overall i prefer waiting for Note 3 or Sony's rumored phablet.
