Samsung Galaxy S4 review: Supernova

28 March 2013
As the Galaxy S series counter flips another digit, Samsung has hopes of getting an even tighter grip on the smartphone market, and reasserting its Android dominance. With two of the main rivals enjoying a head-start to the market, the Galaxy S4...

I've been using the S4 i9500 since the day it was launched inIndia I.e. 27th April and I absolutely love this phone.
Here's my take on it:
1. Display: Simply fantastic and super sharp.
2. Speed: Handles everything you throw at it with ease.
3. Overheating issues: It is normal for a smartphone to heat up considerably when charging or using heavy duty apps. There is no need to worry about it.
I've used the Galaxy Nexus & the Nexus S prior to this and both phones used to heat up as much as the S4 does! Remember, this phone has 4 powerful processors so it's natural for them to generate heat! Have you ever noticed how hot a laptop can get with extended usage?
4. Bloatware: This was a major concern initially considering you only had 8gb of available storage, however, with the latest software update it is now possible to move almost all apps to external sd storage freeing up precious internal storage space.

To sum it up I would say that the S4 is one of the best Android phones, if not the best available today and you can go for it without much thought!

Who say Samsung has no design philosophy..?

Ans- galaxy s2 best designed phone
But it is copied from apple iPhone
If Samsung got new design language that their r&d department devloped there is some court notice coming from Nokia, apple ,HTC ,Sony because one company in worldwide know better how to implement other idea with its own s logo

it's super fragile... anybody who is considering buying this should really weigh a 100 times... except only if money is not an issue on the part of the buyer....

mine got a broken lcd when it fell for about 2 feet from the ground... there were no signs of impact in the external case...

Samsung has got it wrong in the trade offs and is focusing too much on specifications. Phone A is 8.8 mm thick while its competitor is 8.9 mm and so phone A is better. To achieve the 0.1 mm difference Samsung had to use the flimsy plastics....WTF! Customers like me dont care a heck about that 0.1 mm difference (which anyways cannot be measured unless you are carrying a vernier around) as long as 8.8 mm doesnt become 13.8 mm which is stupid. If Samsung can use better materials at the cost of a few microns more in terms of the dimensions, it would be appreciated. Are you Samsung designers listening? Cut out the crappy materials and give us something that looks beautiful but rugged like a Swiss watch.

Overheating is the biggest issue! 5 mins of call temp goes as high 51 , hope this will fix in short time
