If you’ve been paying attention – and we know you have – there’s no way you couldn’t have noticed that for a good ten days or so we’ve all been on and on about two phones. Now, we’re about to make it three...

AnonD-69171, 03 Apr 2013For people who said amoled is the best no matter what. G... moreThey just go off the fact that the colors are ever so slightly more perfect and that these amoleds are pentile. The ;natural mode even on S2 looked pretty close and the S3 did even better. Now the S4 has it nearly perfect. But most people love amoled just the way it is. Its only internet trolls that care. Plus even in natural mode it still has every advantage of amoled with efficiency, deep blacks, extreme contrasts, amazing angles, much better white balance, and way better sunlight visibility. The Icrap 5 looks slightly better in sun because of how much brighter it is, but by brightness to reflective ratio the amoled still performs better.

Does anyone know if the HTC One or the Samsung S4 supports Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). It is a subset of Bluetooth 4.0.

Agree with almost everything about this comparison.
However, I don't think there's much of a difference in performance. And so, I'd still choose XZ for it's flawless premium design and it's simplistic UI. Everything in XZ, from the build quality, to the UI, down to the media apps, looks and feels a lot more premium when compared to S4.

AnonD-1544, 03 Apr 2013 There is no point in repeating my main arguments. Samsung... moreIt’s funny you talk about being sensible but your immense comment mostly is full of claptrap. You accuse Samsung Fans to possess a childish behavior but to be honest with you my friend, what you wrote looks so immature. Isn’t there something called “personal preference”?

AnonD-84053, 03 Apr 2013xperia z wins, flawless victoryKinda funny that you say this when Samsung Galaxy S IV murders the XPERIA Z in pretty much everything except for the water resistant in this test.

Again, why does the XPERIA Z wins?

[deleted post]Man,you just quoted stuff on the XZ' styling. Nothing much on performance. Nothing to counter my points. Do you even know the difference between looks and performance? That's what I don't deny - XZ good looking on the outside. Performance not so much. S IV's hardware & software just dominated the XZ. It isn't waterproofed, but I'm impressed with the S IV because it's ushering the upcoming Note III with the useful S Pen. Sony isn't offering the set of features I personally need.

Looks over good performance and power - isn't a practical or wise decision. I'd like to spend on a real performing device than only looking the part.

I think i won't be looked cool if i hold s4, but it's different story with xz in my hand :D

i think in all part winner is s4 except design and watterproof ability in z..

z hant enough power to compete with htc one and s4..

im going for one cus a lot of unique features are in it..

AnonD-1544, 03 Apr 2013 There is no point in repeating my main arguments. Samsung... moreHere are some of your points against expert reviews:

You quoted, "XZ has one of the best screens and cameras in the market today".
From Tech Radar -"Sadly, we would describe our results as average at best... not the fastest camera to load either... we found a few times that it didn't work due to some unexplained software glitch... Photos tended to look better on the screen before they were actually shot, but then when transferred to a computer screen, they just looked cheap... a lack of sharpness, and even mildly zoomed in, they came out more like something from a budget or mid-range handset." Source - http://techradar.com/reviews/phones/mobile-phones/sony-xperia-z-1119637/review#articleContent

You quoted, "the thing about viewing angles is a joke that again only small minded people fall for."
From IB Times - "However, when we put the screen side-by-side with the HTC One, it was clear that the TFT panel used on Sony's screen looks dull and washed-out in comparison. Blacks were nowhere near as deep and contrast was also well below HTC's standard." Source - http://ibtimes.co.uk/sony-xperia-z-review-451460.html

You quoted, "The XZ is the best android smartphone till date, this is a fact that unbiased reviewers have constantly confirmed." Uh, yeah... In another universe.

You quoted, "A lot of XZ users are happy". Ok, Here is the direct Sony forum for the XZ users, and they seem to mention numerous problems like weak wifi connection, no direct wifi file transfer, LED notification problems, weak speakers, heating up issues, 64GB micro SD card incompatibility issues, etc. Have a look:
                                      http://talk.sonymobile.com/community/support/xperia_z_zl#/

You quoted, "... proud and don't regret a bit waiting for plastic fantastic products, their phones can perfectly do anything the plastic fantastic does". No, most of the S IV's aspects has surpassed the XZ's.

You quoted, "the only difference is that with the XZ you'll just have the uniqueness that samsung fans will only keep dreaming about." Uniqueness with mediocre or defective features? XZ has an undeniable good looking exterior. That's about it.

You quoted, "Anyway, those people will grow up oneday, and will learn to reveal the truth the way it truly is, not the way they want it to look like." I guess some of the readers are enlightened more now which is actually better.

You quoted, "And from a person with plenty of experience in both life and the tech world, I can tell you that if you're aim is quality go Sony, and if you're aim is just hype go plastic fantastic, your call." Well thank you for taking the time to write here.

                                        Spoiler :
                                        Overall

Just when we thought that LCD technology doesn't have anything more to offer, innovation has once again come to the rescue, allowing certain manufacturers to produce one of the most amazing screens we've ever seen. After all is said and done, it becomes evident that the quality LCD displays like those of the Apple iPhone 5 and HTC One are unsurpassed when it comes to overall image quality with their sharp, lively and realistic visuals.
However, Samsung is making big moves forward with each new major release. Its AMOLED technology has transformed from cold and pixelized to surprisingly authentic and artifact-free. The Galaxy S4's Super AMOLED screen is an improvement over its predecessor in every possible way, but this comparison showed us that there's still quite a bit of room for improvement.
