Samsung's features are not gimmick, most features like air gesture, direct call etc work very well.

AnonD-1544, 02 Apr 2013It is the first time that I'm truly feeling that samsung fa... moreWell not all samsung fans are like that. I even tried iPhone, S3, Xperia, HTC. I like iPhone due to its sleek design (own perspective ok?), i like S3 since it can multitask and more power (quadcore and my main phone btw), i like sony due to build quality (proven.. i have K750i and its still alive up to now) and well, sony is known for its good sound quality, i don't know why most people are commenting that the xperia sound quality is below standard.. HTC more or less even though expensive, has elegant design (i love their designs especially ONE) I don't need to argue if they have the same design as long as they meet or exceed my expectations.

I'm not bashing Samsung, but they're just flooding the market. The additional sensors serve little to no practical use and will just add the to amount of mercury and other toxicants in the rubbish and the environment. Sony's more practical dust and water proof features make a lot more sense. The typical user is more likely to have liquid splashed or spilled on their phone than to have a need or use for knowing the air pressure, humidity and the temperature of their pocket with quad core Cortex inside. Wake up people.. and GSM Arena, you should point out these things and not review them purely from a technological perspective. Next up on the Galaxy S5.. radiometer, urine analyzer and car-horn-like speakers to warn others that a face is glued to the/a Galaxy device so we must clear the way and let them pass.

Wonder if GSMarena could get their hands on the Japan only version of the XZ and do a review of it. For one, its screen has LED backlighting. Who knows what other goodies the japs put in it.

well i know this gonna happen but i'm still proud with my xperia z. if i want to take quality picture, i'm always use my eos 650d. i never experience lag, SOD, or anything else with my xperia z. and i think sony now on the right track since they haven't launch xperia using snapdragon 600, if sony release cybershoot phone and walkman series with amplifier later this year, i believe it will be good counter attack to any brand.

It is the first time that I'm truly feeling that samsung fans are feeling the heat from Sony. They know for sure that Sony is coming, and with Sony providing both style, quality and performance their beloved Samsung will only be rewarded by being the copycat plastic phone.
If you are this confident with the S4 than why all the hate and trolling towards the XZ? This reminds me when iphone users for the first time started to hate on the galaxy where in the past they never even mentioned it's name,
Sony you have a premuim reputation that Samsung will only dream of. Even Samsung fans admit that they like their phones but they no it's no more than plastic junk quality but with a nice screen and some gimmick features.
In the end I say this from experience and trust me I've read more about technology than almost any of the new teenagers visiting this website, and this is what I have to say to you.
Almost all Samsung's customers are brain washed teenagers who came from apple, no wonder why they have the same childish mentality.
HTC and Sony users are in a different league, and no I'm not just claiming that, but I'm fully aware that people who go after Sony and HTC know exactly what they are looking for, they make a mature decision and plenty of research before choosing. But samsung? Ha! This is the toy zone, where people follow based on hype and media not reason and knowledge. I have nothing against children, in fact I like them, but the truth must be told, Sony is way better than Samsung when it comes to built quality, innovation, life cycle of their devices, mature customers, uniqueness and true premium products.

AnonD-27765, 02 Apr 2013The IPS LCD of the Nokia Lumia 920 is better than the Super... moreBy the way Galaxy S3 has won the best smartphone award for 2012. They where given this award by GSMA not gsmarena in the world mobile cogress. World mobile congress is like the Grammy or the Oscars of mobile technology. This award is the best that a smartphone can get. Nokia is to far away from Samsung pal. Samsung will win it again this year. Everyone can have dream. Nokia past dominance is no more. ;-)

AnonD-27765, 02 Apr 2013The IPS LCD of the Nokia Lumia 920 is better than the Super... moreAnd congratulation for failing to understand that we are talking about the GalaxyS IV screen, not the Galaxy S III and Note II screen.
You compare the Nokia Lumia 920 to a Galaxy Note II witch uses the old PenTile technology.
Samsung Galaxy S IV use a totally new PenTile technology that is much better than the PenTile screens in the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II.
Good try but try better next time.
