Bought it a couple of days ago for INR 10,300. Amazing phone for its price.

Only issue I ran into is that some mp4 videos (with SD resolution and relatively low bitrate) are playing with an occasional stutter, but others with 720p resolution and much higher bitrate are playing smoothly. Anybody else experiencing this issue?

The alternatives listed by GSMArena are either "non-existent" or costs way more than the Lumia 520 (at least for Singapore that is). Even the Xperia J (my current phone) costs a good S$50 more

If you are not using skype calls and not traveling to other countries - it's perfect choice from Nokia phones.
Battery should hold the same as L620 what should quiet nice juice use and its CHEAPEST WP8 phone even cheaper than other android competitors.

                  I love the lumia design.
wish it had android since I can get the same UI + lot more apps + I could overclock the CPU since its the same one used in lumia 720.

Is it worth buying? Yes, it is. A perfect simple compact affordable smartphone.
