I think the bottom line is, are the software bundled with the phone better than what other smartphones have to offer?
I think Samsung may have the edge here in terms of the software being bundled, like split screen, better organizer, S-voice, etc.
We cannot just compare screen size vs screen size, but rather, what a user can do productively with that much screen size...
And Samsung is clearly a better deal.

I use this phone. I face hang problem. within 4 time hang and 2 time off within 15 days. service center just update software but result is 0. when hang then go for factory reset (volume up button + power button + home button pressing). Otherwise phone not responding. I hate galaxy mega.

Big screen is not a disadvantage bcoz it's targeted at people who preferred a big screen for productivity & ease of use. Others can look at S4 & S4 Mini for smaller screen. Samsung is not offering only one phone model like a certain fruity corp. Samsung provide many choice & option for the market. Fruity Corp only want your $$$$

This Mega kick-Ass. Multi-SIM is priceless. I can multi-tasked just like my PC. Watching video and checking Facebook all at the same time on a bigger screen in dual-windowed. I love it.

Waiting a long days, I purchased next day when launch this phone. This is a excellent phablet. Battery backup 2 days. Speed is very good. Camera, sound, picture quality is great. This is the best phone/phablet. The internet/wyfi connection is very first. Charging is very fast. I realy love this new phablet.
