most of people forgot that few years ago nobody agree with 5 inch smartphone and 4 inch is max. now people put 5 inch as standard for smartphone. if 6 inches is bad, why samsung create galaxy mega 6.3 just like huawei ascend mate?
i remember when galaxy note I came out, people say that it's too big... but today?

It's large and has the latest Snapdragon 800 processor... nothing else.
A 3000 mAh battery is a bit less to power the 6.4 inch 1080p display on xperia z ultra.
Sony should have included led flash to experience low light photography.
It will be a heavy compititor for the 6+ inch phablets but samsung's note 3 will be something to wait for.

AnonD-158873, 25 Jun 2013Honestly speaking the lack of a flash is really not a deal ... morei'm super agree with you... i have iphone 4s and xperia z but i never taking picture using flash even in the night since it will create noise or more to say that i don't like to take picture when dark.
even if sony put flash i believe quality is average.
it's funny that people didn't realize that 3.5 mm jack not cover with flap so it means sony have great spec to protect audio when under water

Yeah I agree that it's too big for a phablet. But let's not forget that mainstream flagship phones are 5" now so phablets would probably be in the 6" range.

Anonymous, 25 Jun 2013This is not a phablet, it's way too big! This is a TABLET ... moreAgreed, this is a tablet with phone-call feature, if you go watch the Sony's ZU advertisement, ppl keep the ZU in the bag but not pocket....
I would say it is a cool "tablet" but it is not a phablet or even a phone.

Honestly speaking the lack of a flash is really not a deal breaker! And everyone else who's getting their panties in a knot for the battery capacity need to calm down until reviews come out, besides the CPU is power efficient and battery life might not be that bad!

This is not a phablet, it's way too big! This is a TABLET with phone functionality.
Between 5 to 6" are phablets... Phablets should be be able to fit in ordinary pockets not jackets / large pockets etc.

Design is great, but it's so big. It can't be comfortable to have in the hands or pocket, it just can't. Maybe this is too big.

Hey gsmarena,
You have tri-band hspa listed as oppose to pentaband. I believe the phone supports 5 bands based on Sony's global website.
