elotrolado, 28 Aug 2013This phone is ideal for those who drive in their cars alone... moreYou can set 3year old droids to have voice activated wake, and all the other voice features are standard to most android phones.

As a sidenote, hoping your unwatched device is getting all your emails and important calender dates correctly written and sent is asking for trouble anyway.

elotrolado, 28 Aug 2013This phone is ideal for those who drive in their cars alone... moreIs the Moto X expensive or a High end Smartphone like the GS4, HTC One, iPhone 5? Yes but why?

Motorola Moto X teardown reveled a build cost of $221 putting it in the same range as the Apple iPhone 5, Galaxy S4 and many other flagship Smartphones out there. Despite having a dual-core Krait CPU, the X8 custom SoC costs more than the Exynos 5 Octa chipset found in the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500 variant).

While Motorola does save a bit on the display (720p vs. 1080p), the overall cost is nullified due to the custom SoC and many other sensors and processors employed by Motorola on the device, giving a final difference of just $16 between the Moto X and the Galaxy S4.

Further more, the assembly of the phone in the USA costs another $12 adding free the customization on Moto Maker the General value is $350 priced by Motorola to AT&T, Verizon, Spring ect but them sell the Moto X sells for $579 without a contract according the cost value which are the same as the GS4, HTC One or iphone 5...

piyal, 26 Aug 2013Only americans will fall for this phone. Tell me one thing ... moreThis phone is ideal for those who drive in their cars alone and want to use that time to safely make/receive phone calls, texts, send and receive email, as well as all that Google Now has to offer. The excellent speaker and call quality along with touchless voice activation make this all possible, unlike all other brands of phones. This, coupled with what is for me a perfect pocketable size and large screen, make this phone, ideal, if expensive. That's why I'm falling for the Moto X.

What a lot of people don't realize is everyone isn't a tech nerd and could care less about the specs and more about what it can do to improve their lives. We could care less if it has a 1080p screen because we don't play games or sit an watch videos, we use our phone for talking, appointment reminders, alarms, gps, and so on. To me this phone fits and I'm enjoying it.
