Only americans will fall for this phone. Tell me one thing why I should buy this phone. I will give you several why you shouldn't--
1- 720p display in Q3 of 2013
2- No external memory card expansion
3- Midrange camera
4- X8 is the lowest capable processor you can find in any flagship with last year dual core standard and soon to be obsolete
5- Spying tool with dedicated processor
6- Toy like custonization
After-all its your money who am I to tell you where you shouldn't waste your money.

Thought this was a decent phone based on the media. I picked one up today at the store to take a look and wow was I disappointed. Feels very cheap...like a toy bit cheap toy. No way this should be price in the high end segment... based on build quality alone. Due to an accident that destroyed my optimis g...I had to settle for a atrix HD a few months ago. It as better build quality than the x IMO.

Stock Google phones:
phone without smartdialer or proper call log, media device without external storage and usually lacking codec support, browsing device without plug-in support, smartphone that can't send mms videos taken by its camera because you can't lower the resolution under 1080, ..oh, but it is default-set to be listening all the time.. so there's that, just in case you wanted that for some reason. Though older smartphones had voice activated personal assistants too.

Does the MotoX have wifi-direct? It's been around since the HTC Amaze and GalaxyS2, but it wasn't a mentioned feature in the article (usually it gets a quick mention in the stats list and connections page).

It only comes in black or white, the color option is just a back cover (still no removable battery for some reason). If you're going to order a phone online and get a custom colored back, you could do the same for almost any smartphone anyway. For anyone excited about the 600dual-core chipset in a 720 phone, check out the Pantech Vega..it's way cheaper. You can call the Vega a flagship too, if you want to.

Droid guy, 25 Aug 2013Well, mr or ms or whatever you keep praising the moto x abo... moreBefore I even answer you, We all know Moto X is the first Moto Google phone available in the market meaning Google make the Operating System Android OS and knows that the Moto X as the first born from GoogleMoto need to get a good and long life of Android Update.
Quickly this is the Moto X vs the GS4 on the GPU because on the CPU the GS4 is a clear winner.
The graphics chip of a handset is more important inour day-to-day lives than the CPU and this is where the Moto X delivers performance that is up to par with the Samsung Galaxy S4 (which also features an Adreno 320 GPU). Don't be suprised.
Both phones have 2GB Ram right?
So, Let talk about the performent life for 2 years for the Moto X but we are actually sure that the GS4 will make it expecially for having a Snapdragon S600 and even the S800 (8 cores) which is actually not a real 8 cores but (4 cores + 4 cores) but that is not the point.
Supprisely the Original Motorola Droid with 512MB of Ram will still be able to run Android 5.0. Yes, that is the way Android OS growing and getting more mature.
Google is working with the Linux 3.8 kernel, which gives rise to the notion that this kernel might make it into Android 5. One improvement that the 3.8 kernel brings is lowered RAM usage, which would mean a snappier phone with better multitasking. Here iPhone OS it is really more mature than Android OS.
VR-Zone also claimed that the new OS will be optimised to run on devices with as little as 512MB of RAM. Actually, the Motorola X ram is already 4 times bigger 2GB Ram in addition the Moto X have same GPU that the GS4 or even the upcoming Galaxy Note 3 as the same GPU as the Moto X.
I will stop here Droid Guy. But don't know why my links doesn't work but just Google "Android 5.0 optimazed to 512MB Ram" will get it for sure.
Actually the Moto X is a real High End Phone because of the Quad core GPU, 2GB Ram and this is were people thinks it mid range phone S4 Pro also find on the mid rand Xperia SP but the S4 Pro is the latest and most powerful CPU for those mid range phone and finally in addition the Moto X comes with the Motorola Homemade Chipset Computing System the X8 which bring Magics to the Moto Ghost(the code name).
Although, I did explain in details but hater will remain hater but that is Okay. I'm not posting for them.

Google has just begun the burial process of Motorola Mobility with the release of Moto X (so they can keep tech and patents for own future devices). Too bad, because deep down I always liked Motorola, because of its legacy of great milestone mobiles... R.I.P. Motorola!

But Motorola CEO says the Moto X international version will be cheaper surely it will be without the customisation. Maybe with same preset customazed phones. Let see what the international version will be.

AnonD-1846, 24 Aug 2013Shame on you already selling from AT&T and the people a... moreWell, mr or ms or whatever you keep praising the moto x about how good the phone is well optimized or made by moto or how awesome the touchless technology is.sure, i agree with u.the phone is one of greatest of all time.now here a question i want to ask u.how will this phone fare say 2 or 3 years when they i don't know game maker make super intensive game.that need quard core cpu or when the os evolve and need a lot of horse power.for example,nowaday phone that has 512 mb of ram run jelly bean like hell(very lagy).and also those same 512 mb ram phone doing a horrible job at runing a lot of games such as subway surf. Look,about the software, u can just improve that later but u can't just improve the hardware.so you need to understand how important is the hardware.Having a well optimized software is good but not future proof.
