the photos taken by the z1 are good, no doubt, but its nowhere near as good as the lumia 1020. lumia 1020 is the emperor of cameraphones, hands down. the z1 is a much better phone than the samsung galaxy s4, in all departments.

I will be impressed if Z1 has a stylus pen otherwise P1 is still the best business smart phone. Can I still get Sony Ericsson P1 or improved version of Sony Z1 with stylus, otherwise I migrate to Samsung Galaxy note 3 instead as my business/engineering device.

This phone is a killer surely because:
Best camera among smartphones(till now even better than lumias)
Great design and build quality
Fastest chip(Snap800)
Water and dust proof(in no other flagships)
Also triluminus display is great.everybody that says it has problems, has not seen Zultra's display,so he is whether lying or trolling.contrast is around1500 even more than iPhone5.It has warm colors and even Htc One's display looks washed out next to it.and it has natural colors like other LCDs.And when you turn on Xreality colors get warmer and oversaturated and competes with OLED's but it is much brighter than OLEDs(OLED's can not have high brightness and in high brightness pixels start to degrade)

Will wait for 6 - 8 months before getting one. Amazing how expensive these smartphones are compared to LCD TVs.

I'm amazed how many claims that it's the best design / bodies in the market, what's actually a square box with little or no design form that could improve the feel in hand.
Even Sony's Xperia V have a better feel at hand, when using the phone, with the curved backcover. Imo I've had Nokia symbian phones over 5 years ago with a better feel at hand and more comfortable user feeling..

MdN, 15 Sep 2013Z1 vs Lumia 1020 direct camera comparison: http://www.tbrea... moreGotta admit it: the hardware on the true Pureview phones (1020 and 808) is better than the 20mp sensor and G-lens arrangement in the XZ1.
Happy to hold up hands on that one. On lesser Lumias, however, the XZ1 wins out, it seems to me.
That said, Nokia really needs to ditch their over-saturation. Greens and reds on all Lumias are horrifically overblown.

AnonD-130464, 14 Sep 2013what's wrong with the cam? why the right half of all photos... moreI was thinking the same exact thing. The part of the photo that's in focus looks amazing. Tons of detail, no noise and no sharpening. But the part thats out of focus is exactly the opposite - looks like a ton of post processing sharpening and details totally lost.

I'm okay with using Chrome but still really disappointed Sony ditched super sensitive screen. It is also useful to do not only ordinary snapshots, but also HDR ones. IMO. I understand that review looks at the hardware, but we use hardware + software...

AnonD-22824, 14 Sep 2013 you must have looked those photos on the xperia z it is bo... moreYou have to admit that galaxy S3 and Note 2 are very poor in low light. And indoors, turn off the flash and see Xperia Z own them both so hard, producing good colors under any artificial light and bright indoor images where previous generation flagship phones give useless pics is a strength of Z that has further improved with Z1. Galaxy S3 and Note 2 is good under perfect conditions, in daylight, and that's about it, they are not so reliable allrounders, for me they produced too many failed photos and while messing with settings the moment passed, leaving no useable photo.
