Before anyone knocks it , go try it, feel it and look at how beautiful it is. My wife exchanged her 5S Gold for the 5C Pink and all because it feels really good in her hands. She just loves it. I recommend everyone who likes Apple to look at it closely.

the plastic used in iPhone 5c is good but it doesn't give iPhone that premium quality that people are used to...

me, 02 Oct 2013firstly ppl complained because thev samsung phones were mad... moreThe cost of a phone made of plastic is the same as the phone made of aluminium i.e. $549. Makes no sense on your so-called "premium" line-up. Apple should have atleast thought ten times before setting prices of 5c! Not every country has contract systems.
We are not hating Apple because they're Apple or whatever but we are just saying that they haven't done the right thing now. Yes, I agree Apple makes reliable and long user friendly phones but each specification has a time until it outdates. Take the screen size for example, 3.5" was awesome at the time iPhone 4 was launched. But that was three years ago my friend and in three years people have bought other phones with 4.3"-6" screens.
iPhone 5c should have been an experiment in these things. They should've gone for bumping the screen size and resolution plus made the phone cheaper like other droids. Then the sales would've been jumped like a rocket!

AvP, 02 Oct 2013No doubt Android has made a leap but IMHO iOS7 just has bet... moreiOS 7 has a more "flat" look compared to iOS 6's "glossy and shiny" look. I'm not impressed by iOS 7. iOS 6 is more "sexy" if you know what I mean.. ;)

AnonD-51507, 28 Sep 2013hey people, do you remember that one time when Apple and it... morefirstly ppl complained because thev samsung phones were made of cheap thin plastic, now devices such as the latest samsungs and the 5c use much better quality plastic casings.
as to the 5c being apples cheap iphone....who said that? apples cheap iphone is now the 4s, the 5c is still part of their premium line hence the same specs as the 5
dont hate because theyre apple, apple make good reliable smartphones i cant say the same for most android manufacturers.
as an example the samsung s4 is a great phone but has so much memory used up on junk. why? well because samsung dont develope the software they have to use up more space to put their own stuff on. this means you as the end user will not get the product you want

I always have loved viewing different reviews of different smartphones at GSMarena. They always keep things straight and simple and the best part is that they dont give biased reviews. Keep it up guys! :-)
Well honestly, I dont know what to say on this fella. Its just the same iPhone 5 with some new clothes - that's it.
No difference in specs.. Okay we can live on those specs as iOS isn't a really heavy OS. Screen size should've been bigger, about 4.5"/4.7" which is enough upto today's standards. They should've made this phone as an experiment, innovate like hell, give larger screen, etc. They should've made this phone an experiment by trying out those specs and things which nowadays fans demand.
The other major issue is the Price Tag. OMG! $549 off-contract.. This doesn't even sound like a mid-range/cheaper/affordable iPhone for me! $99 on contract makes sense. But off-contract it should've been $250-$350 atleast.
I remember, when Samsung started the competition by releasing those plastick Droids, Apple and their fans/users criticiZed them a lot. Now, they themselves have created a phone which they call "Premium" plastic. I have to say, Apple is No.1 in terms of marketing and word selection. I guess Steve Jobs' last day at work was the last day Apple ever innovated. Since Tim Cook has taken over, things have only become worse.
Personally, i'll never prefer this phone OVER iPhone 5 at all. iPhone 5 is more sexy looking fella. And the other thing is that Apple is always on top because of the premium feel of its phones and the grace. 5c is wayy to thicker and heavier than 5! I checked on AT&T's site and the price of iPhone 5 and iPhone 5c is same to same - both 16GB at $99.99. So if you are spending the same cost on 5c than i'd prefer you to look aside and grab that premium phone.
No hard feelings guys!! :-)

I don't think the plastic is a big deal, we all forget that before the iphone 4 the iphones were plastic. iphone users hating on other phones for being plastic is stupid for this very reason. But the real shame is that this is just a 5 made cheaper but selling for the same price. If Apple dropped the price another $100 (which I think they will) then it should sell. Right now it's just for those that can't afford a 5s that want apple. There's no other reason to buy it.

AnonD-51507, 28 Sep 2013hey people, do you remember that one time when Apple and it... moreApple advertisements never show competitor products, they just showcase the Apple product. Unlike Samsung, or Microsoft, that constantly compare themselves to Apple.
Do a little research, Samsung admits to using very cheap plastic to make cell phones. Its the only way they can push out new models every month.

hey people, do you remember that one time when Apple and it's entire die-hard fan base repeatedly crapped on Samsung about their plastic phones?
sure is interesting how Apple and it's entire die-hard fan base are right now calling their new plastic phone 'innovative', 'cost-efficient', 'premium' and other sugary words to coat their new phone . . and what more, Apple intended it's new plastic phone as "affordable" and their entry to compete in the market of low to mid-end phones . . the problem is, $549 off the shelf is nowhere near mid-end . . i've seen waaaaaay better performance and hardware from the $240 android smartphones of one of my country's local phone company that they already consider as their high-end series with quad-core processors, high-end GPUs, 18mp main cam, 8mp front cam(all complete with sensors, autofocus and whatnot), and expandable storage spaces . . .

Seriously ??, 27 Sep 2013Ancient technology? This little dual core just destroyed yo... moreApple is back? and it's killing Samsung??? hahaha you're very funny . . noone's hyped about the new 5s and 5c except for the same people who had hyped up about previously released iphones, minus some who have finally seen how they're not really getting anything new from the iphone and eventually switched to other phones . .
also upon the release of the 5s and 5c, Apple's market value dropped almost by $40 billion because investors weren't impressed and found nothing new, with analysts citing concerns about the lack of innovation and the pricing . . how is dropping market value by the billions killing Samsung? when Samsung sales are increasing, as well as Apple losing market shares to Android and Windows phone . .

AvP, 27 Sep 2013My two cents in few sentences. Here in US, iPhone5c costs... moreWinning the war.....not so sure. Android has advanced in leaps and bounds....to the point that iOS 7 seems to try to emulate too. Its much more blurred now, the gap is closing. More android tablets are doing similar to iPad, with decent tablet specific apps, and Apple have decided to copy Nokia or Samsung to a degree. Many people own both an iOS and android devices, so the fan boys will have no relevance soon. It's almost becoming difficult to determine what platform in o/s one is using. Even the difference between a tablet/phone is becoming blurred....hence I make reference to both here. More are using WiFi than gsm too, as time goes by, so the term phone... device makes more sense. Most of my calls are by Skype now....a changing world.

So, what's your point if no expandable memory or micro SD. They have unique way to do that and they have there own style to build a phone. Your just a FUCKING weird to hate Apple's. I don't know you and you don't know me but I'm sure that your using any kind of Apple's product. If you don't like Apple's than don't make any report or news to Apple's product. Stay in Samsung, Sony and any other phones running Andriod OS.

nice to see that gsmarena gives an unbiased ( ie, non apple centric view) that this phone is sly tactic to lure non savvy people or fashionites or hipsters to purchase the 5s
the fact is that apple rivals offer much cheaper, much more functions phones, a few even has much better build quality that this sheep in wolf clothing
