Samsung Galaxy Note 3 review: Jugger-note

3 October 2013
From an experimental niche product to standard-setter in just three generations. The Note 3 boasts a beautiful large screen, cutting edge tech and hardware design that shows Samsung is finally taking looks seriously...

AnonD-29473, 04 Oct 2013Would recommend that GSMArena test the brightness of the AM... moreThat is the measurement for manual brightness setting. The screen can actually go much higher than that, but only on automatic mode when needed in sunlight. Displaymate also touched on this in their review of the screen, where they also called it the best phone screen in existence.

I am being serious here after just buying S4 MINI in that a Note mini would be brilliant..Plus the Note line up (besides having top spec) have top quality in audio/cam/screen and so on,the mini version would have to keep these qualitys even tho spec would be reduced..Even though spec would be reduced there is no reason why they cannot keep the quality audio and high quality tolerances.

                Superb review.

                  One question to reviewers please:

Is there a difference in quality between the two versions (SD & Octa)in:

                  - Camera
                  &
                  - Audio

Because SD uses own audio chip that is not the same in Octa
                  &
We heard that Octa version uses Sony senor, but SD version doesn't.

                  Can you elaborate on that.

And is there any other difference between the two versions.

                  Thank you

Would recommend that GSMArena test the brightness of the AMOLED screen again: that rating of 379 cd/m2 is way below what is actually possible in sunlight:
                      http://www.displaymate.com/Galaxy_Note3_ShootOut_1.htm

In bright sunlight, it should match the amazing screen of the iPhone 5.

Very expensive for what it is, but obviously far greater value than the Apple 5s. I have used the Note 3 but dont see it as being value over the Note 2 which hopefully will come done in price a bit, and is easier to use with one hand. The speakers could be better for sure.

                                KING is coming finally :D
Great device, great speed, great video UHD and UNIQUE!
                                BRAVO SAMSUNG, you are LEADER!

Well, the reviews are in, and this has beaten all the other Note wannabes. Period. I'm talking about the Snapdragon version, of course.

Best performing and most versatile pocketable device. Most only complain about the back. You use the front of the device for its interface, not its back.

The active Wacom system S Pen functionalities, other than its default software is something other manufacturers are gravely missing. It's fantastic for sketching and note taking because of its pressure level sensitivity. Don't even mention the XZU - its un-dynamic mono "anything as stylus" failed to address a good pen-centric input and the fact you can't carry it at all in your pocket.

Extremely no regret switching over from Sony Xperia Z Ultra to this the best Phablet in date - Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

                                    Awesome device! :)
