Sorry, forgot to let you know, Got it for RM1888.00 (Sometime after CNY). Come w/ 128MB minisd card and the minisd cardreader with USB cable to PC. My advice is, try to negotiate without the minisd card and get it separately somewhere else. The one came together is not from sagem and no brand (a cheapo)

To insert/remove the minisd card, you have to remove the back cover of the phone. Its locate very near to the plug connector at the bottom of the phone. So far I have insert/remove the minisd card without switching off the phone without any problem. Honestly, somtime i have some connection problem when making a call but i think its the service provider's network problem since i'm not the only one have this problem in my working place. As for battery heating up... its not THAT back really...

I was wondering where is the mini-SD card slot, i can't see it in most reviews.
and the thing about the phone battery heating up, is it only to the phone -no man- bought? or does it happen to all the Sagem My X-8s?
really love the looks of the phone, but the battery heating up thing and the part where people can't here you when you call them is worrying.
So what's the price of it in Malaysia?

don't understand about all the grumbling of buying this phone in malaysia. I bought the cable for my previous My x-6 and its compatible to my x-8 which i'm using now. the camera is great infact the camera in my x-6 is great too. only thing is the LCD for my x-6 is not doing any justice to the picture taken from its camera. When i transfer all the photos taken from my x-6 to my x-8, the quality is the same.

My 1st phone was a Nokia but sagem is a better phone in terms of the hardware that are bundle into the phone. It don't 'mix' some obsolete hardware into the phone like other phone maker did.

Another important thing is sagem IS NOT make in China. For the price you pay in terms of value in hardware, in country of manufacture, it is definitely a phone value for money. I won't pay RM16xx.xx for a Nokia that is make in China. Not worth the money.

I'm please with my x-8 that i'm having for a couple of months now... and I libe in malaysia....

Thanks to Nikola D for your great answering!! : )

So, is they any suggestion which meets my all posted requirements, especially compatible with Mac, high Camera resolution, bluetooth-transfer of SMS and any other files, external storage-support etc. ...other than Nokia.

I'm looking forward to change a new handphone for a long time, should I wait for the more Megapixels-camera-phone launching throughout year 2005??

                  Thanks!!

also one more thing, when I delete some big files from phone memory it becomes awful slowly and finaly block, then you need to restart it and to wait a bit longer than usual to tur on

                        for the oscar

I think it is not compatible with MAc, at least I got the cd with software that is not

all that things you can do with windows but for mac I don't know

maximum capacity of miniSD I think is 512MB

                        maximum resolution is 1280x960

it can be don on win

with phone you get users manual with all types of files that can be recieved in phone or sent ( allthat files you can recieve you can send)

Here are some questions which relates to the SAGEM myX-8:

                            1) Is the phone compatible with Macintosh computer, iMac G5?

                            2) If yes, could it be synchronized with Mac OS applications, eg. Address Book, iTunes, Messaging etc.? or else is it needs some specific software for synchronizing and data transfer?

                            3) What's the max. of capacity of the miniSD can support, any crash?

                            4) What's the actual resolution of the 1.3M pixels photo captured, 1024x960++?

                            4) Can the SMS be transferred via bluetooth to Mac computer?

                            5) Actually, may I have a knowning that the list that shown the items which can be transferred from the phone (its memory/miniSD) to the computer via bluetooth / USB cable / miniSD reader device or vice versa.

The dust problem is all about a forgotten dust cover in the manufacturing of the phone.

i'm so disapointed about x-8 in malaysia,
                                        1. camera bad.
2.easy get dust inside the screen, look like so dirty.
3.miniSD cannot send things to each other, you need copy to phone first.
4.battery easy get hot,in my experience it switch on and switch off itself in whole day
