On the software side, I was a little less impressed, especially with touch accuracy. The moments where the UI was particularly responsive means that the screen hardware itself is ok, but the that the OS is a little wonky. Being a capacitive screen, you shouldn't have to press very hard for the hardware to register your finger. Some times the Impression required a decent amount of contact to really get into action. Other than that, the UI is standard AT&T fare once you get past the TouchWiz UI, but at this point it's starting to look and feel bit dated.

it seems to be a nice phone except for the battery life.

AT&T stores already offer this phone. I bought this phone for my Son 2 days ago. I is a beautiful phone with alot of features. It is great. with full key baord and touch screen. The screen actualy is OLED and nice and alot of options on menu and as good or better than Nokia Menu.

I recommend this phoen highly. I go to asia alot and my thinking this phone unlock no in asia now. Thinking to buy one and take it there to unlock it from At&T. The price with no contract is only 299 dollars after rebat. Great looking phone.

Let me clear this up for everybody. THIS IS A FEATURE PHONE, NOT A SMARTPHONE. So if your looking for Wi-Fi, easy e-mail, this is not the phone for you!!! If you just want texting, pics, maybe a planner for ur schedule, and dont rly care about the internet, THIS IS THE PHONE FOR YOU. This has no operating system because its not a smartphone. This is not an iPhone killer, so dont go looking for that either! It's strictly a feature phone... FEATURE PHONE.

Anonymous, 07 Apr 2009Does anyone know if the Samsung Impression has: 1. haptic... moreYes, the Samsung Impression has all of those features, it is a real reliable phone, and I love it. Previously I have had nokia phones, and they were great with service, but the phone didn't look so hot. My samsung impression is awesome

chelsea, 28 Apr 2009the xenon and the impression are really similar. I decided... moreI would say that the Impression is better than the Xenon, I bought the Xenon and it broke three times... So I took it back and got the Impression, and I love it, you can handwrite text, or use the full keyboard on the screen, it is really reliable, and my battery lasts all day, even when i send over a thousand texts in a day... Whether you are on the internet, calling, or texting, it is overall a great phone.

?, 17 Apr 2009I am getting a new phone soon...and i like this phone but i... morethe xenon and the impression are really similar. I decided to get the impression because it is quite a bit bigger. the screen is bigger and the keyboard has larger buttons. if you aren't going to be texting, i would go with the cheaper xenon, but i was willing to pay the extra for the larger buttons and screen. i think the xenon has wifi, and the samsung does not...that didn't really matter to me, but maybe it does to you.
