Samsung announces update to fix the bland displays on the Galaxy S24 series
Samsung has finally formally announced the update that will fix the bland displays on the Galaxy S24 series. The firmware is coming to the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra this month and will contain a "Vividness" slider within the Advanced settings of the Display.
The menu exists in the current software but lacks this specific slider. Samsung specifically says that it chose to make the default screen setting a more natural one but is giving in to user feedback - so now users that would like their Super AMOLED punchier can crank up the slider to their liking.
Samsung also mentioned further optimizations to the camera functions. The wording is deliberately vague but Samsung says there will be upgrades to the "device’s zoom functions, Portrait Mode, Nightography, rear camera video shooting capabilities and more".
We haven't received the firmware just yet and will keep checking. In the meantime, read our detailed review of the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
