          can any one plz tell me does b5310 coby pr has geo taggiing or not. gsmarena says it has but my corby doesnt. if it does have how do i activate it.

            btw, its great having people who are never tired helping other people with their phone problems. You and the whole lot have been a big help for me to get to know this phone a lil bit better. Kudos to you all. Thanks Jane. Hope to hear from you soon about the games. I cant wait! :D

                Great points of Corby Pro :

                1. GPS works just fine in India. I was able to get my locations fairly quickly and google maps were quite accurate.

                2. The Dolphine browser HAS FLASH and it works fine with some sites that I opened.

                3. Internet/Email implementation is simply smooth. And quite user friendly.

                4. Though copy paste is not there if want to send SMS text content as eMail simply save it as Memo which can be inserted in eMail composition & viceversa.

                5.Camera(Still) works fine gets fairly good colour accuracy in average lighting conditions. I am quite satisfied with the camera performance. The sharpness too is fine including the detail. Very good implementation for a fixed focus camera.

                6. Widgets work fine. I am very satisfied with Youtube, Facebook etc. widgets.

                7. I have installed lots of jar files which get installed smoothly. Did not have to write any sort of installer code etc. as mentioned around the web.

                8. Battery lasts about 2 days.

                9. QWERTY slide out KB is wonderful and empowers you. But I still like the T9 also.

                10. The phone has Lots of notice value and draws fair amount of attention.

                All the above is based on about week-10days usage experience.

                  Hey Jane, I am extremely sorry if I sounded complaining. Please there is no need to say sorry. But I was simply placing facts.

                  Fact 1 KIES works in Win 7 where the sync works fine, so do the graphich editing modules provided in kies. But the limitations are that it provides only a Message Viewer so there is no possibility of sending sms from your pc thru ur mobile. Secondly I have not been successfull in connecting the pc to the internet over the gprs isp.

                  Fact 2 after Installing KIES the bluetooth connectivitiy continue to be limited to one by one file transfer. And the phone memory is not detected in the Win Xplorer.

                  I hope Samsung provide some upgrade to KIES & bluetooth implementation in the future.

                    All the users here are my brothers and sisters but it feels wonderful to finally meet someone from Egypt :)

                    now about the router... only me and my brother use the router at home and it works really gooooooooood with out laptops... and yes i tried to connect other router and it still says authenication failed although they have no password

                      sheheer is right... you can find games in the sites he told you about but if you need a touch games that can work in both portrait or landscape mode with no tiny white keypad in the end of the screen then will you please give me a couple of days till i gather and upload them :)

                        am trying to find a way to tell you am really sorry that kies doesn't work well and you can't find a good working program to work with your phone... it just no one ever complained that much about kies.... don't get me wrong... you can say what ever you want :).. but i'm just surprised and sad in the same to cause i couldn't help and i really don't know what should you do... i'm not ashamed of admitting this...

                        so let's make a deal... let's both of us continue searching for a solution and who find it first, will tell the other... :)

                              before i tell you about my problem... i want to tell you that i live in Egypt... my service provider is link dot net and i have at home cisco linksys wireless-G adsl home gateway... and my wifi is protected with a password and it works very well with my laptop...

                              when i bought corby pro i tried to surf the net from my cell phone... so i activate the wifi and i search for my wifi and then put the password (i'm sure of the password) and try to connect but it always says "authenication failed" so i called my service provider and they told me what should i write in details... now when i try to connect it... it takes a loooong time and then in the end "no respond from ap"....

                              now what should i do... :)

                                a couple of years i had a sony ericsson phone.. and i downloaded google maps... and whenever i used it... it cost me money... but when i read your post i said i'll try it again in corby pro... and honestly... it didn't cost me anything... so am sorry for this wrong information... i don't know what's the difference between the old google map in sony ericsson and google map in corby pro but again it didn't cost me any money in corby pro

                                but i need to say that still in some countries it may cost a money and if you don't believe me than go to GPS+ setting inside phone setting....then choose Disclaimer... you will find that it says in bold " the use of this service, and the downloading and uploading of data, will (depending on the operator and your subscription plan) result in additional airtime and/or data charges"

                                    The worst phone I have ever seen.Its hardware design(touchscreen and slider) is the worst of this lot.

                                        1. I am getting good flash support in the Youtube widget.
                                        2.Dolphin browser is typical mobile type. Download Miniopera 5.0 it's really cool. I donno if Miniopera supports flash but it's very easy to use and handy searchfeatures + speed (web) dial etc. Worth having.

                                        3. Go to site Getjar and there a a few java applications for Corby Pro which are installable easily.

                                        For Windows Xp SP1 I downloaded and installed Win Installer 3.1 and then the dotnet s/w in Kies cd2 Installed properly BUT I had to go for System Restore ! Because after getting installed i lost my user info !

                                        I wish Samsung would simply deliver a easily workable s/w for corby pro!

                                        For WiFi I think you need a Wifi Router in order to connect to other devices like ur laptop/PC. Is device to device connectivity possible in WiFi?
