HOW COULD I UPDATE DOLPHIN BROWSER OF B5310, 1.5V DONT SUPPORT FLASH THAT REALLY IS DISPOINTING
IS THR A WAY TO UPDATE TO 2.0V
samsung is also not issuing any update for phone.
i think nokia 5800 is better than samsung corby pro after d updates tht nokia issues
wht samsung developer r doing
sasmung after sale service is poor...
really disappointed wid d work of samsung

enable us 2 locat us,get directions,seeing maps in satlit view n map view, any part of d world...by jst typing and searching...
can u use vthout gprs or 3g connectivity

I guess you mis-understood the discussion....
GPS and GPRS are two different things.....
GPS is for global positioning system and it takes positioning details directly from Satelites since it has nothing to do with service providers, hence, we don't have to pay anything to use this service...whereas....
GPRS is General packet radio service..... through which we connect internet on our mobiles....this facility is provided by service providers and hence it is chargeable..... In India gprs charges are very cheap considering the face that we get very low speed here......
I don't know about jane ..... she might have to pay heavy amount in her country......

i use gps vth no cost...
i thing its related 2 d service provider of d country...
i hav used gps vith idea,airtel and reliance...
in india it has no other charges..i dono d rules of d other country....
ofcose ,it consumes a lots of kb..so beter 2 activate an unlimtd plan for gprs

Hi Jane,
1) I had a look at ur firmware url but I don't need to do it because it is April 2010 ver & my Corby was mfg in July so I presume all the s/w must be there. Secondly people are reporting SOS problems after trying it. I was asking whether I can get a firmware upgrade at the Samsung Service Centre.
2) KIES works well only in Win 7.0 in XP it just does not work possibly due to Win updates reqd.
BUT
I just cannot connect the computer to net. Returns PPP problem. The ISP works with other phone. The extra string has ATG commands which features are not available in the phone modem when queried.
3) The "Blue Soliel" is a 98MB download! And that too it is only a trial version. Samsung would atleast have provided a good blue tooth driver. My earlier phones LG & NOKIA both have provided me this support at no cost.
4) KIES it self is more like a multimedia suite with only a message VIEWER. I donno what vision Samsung had for providing such a s/w for a phone. The phone can take VDO only at 15fps which is substandard compared to a video camera, so what use is providing any editing facility for a phone? Whereas I would bet the PC-Phone connectivity is used 95% for phonebook & data sync & Messaging - SMS & Email.PC Suite is much better and with a product already in place what was the idea of spending in development and supplying a product ??? And if you scan the opinions here most users are dissatisfied with the KIES. I would be happy if I get a solution to use Samsung's Samsung_PC_Studio_321_GL6 which has most features required to turn corby into a complete business phone.

Hi..i m having a problem with streaming videos from any site with wifi connection though it works fine when I use gprs. Can someone suggest any solution for this??Also I cannot login into wifi with corby.I have to ligin through my computer.Any suggestions??

You wrote that GPS will cost you a lot of money...i am confused on this.... isn't free..... I havn't tried GPS with Corby however, with my Nokia N97 mini..i use GPS very frequently and never charged....infact I never heard of any charges for using GPS.......what i know is that - the software we use for navigation can be charged but not the GPS..coz it takes signals and coordinates directly from Satellite......
About the tutorial...yes I am with you dear.....I am excited to be your assistant editor :-)....
About games - I am eagerly waiting for them.....meanwhile I tried your method of making a game run in landscape mode and also got succeded.....so again thanks....
