Tell me did you try synchronize or Exchange Sync with your Nokia XpressMusic?
i never tried to synchronize or Exchange Sync but as far as i know everyone including my sisters, brother and my friends who used them... lost all their contacts... and most of them use Samsung phone or Sony Ericsson and i till know don't know why people use them or why they are that important :D:D:D but believe me if you are a newbie in them (Just like me :D) then you will never use them or need them

I use Google as the central storage of my contacts. This I then synchronize using the Exchange Sync option on the phone.

sis jane i got confuse about this can u broaden this for me? and i saw below that u sync something then it cause of forever deletion of contact im newbie about this because i currently use Nokia XpressMusic.. i dont see anywrong about my contacts.. maybe need to know this because i buy my corbyPro next week.

I have installed Samsung Kies software on my PC..
Then I clicked on Internet Icon..
I have done settings like, India, Airtel(2G)..
And finaly when I clicked on Connect button,
I am getting an error..
"ANOTHER WIDGET IS IN USE, PLEASE TRY LATER"
I tried again,
But same I got error..
Help me Jane..

i never use Exchange Sync or Synchronization cause all the people who used it lost all their contacts forever from the phone... and even if you turned the option off... you won't get your contacts back... and there is no option to make the contacts stay intact...
why didn't you simply send the contacts via bluetooh to the other phone or if you send it to google and update it to have a back up... why didn't you simply make the backup on your pc/laptop via cable... this way it won't effect anything

i am using corby pro for the last 4 months...please give me a solution for how to record a call (during call time). i tried this with voice recorder key,, bt its not working...pleaz pleazzz give me a solution...u can send to my mail also (pradeepcs610@gmail.com)...there are some good things in corby plus that not in pro like dictionary, mobile prayer, music timings etc..rest of the things are superb

I've been using the phone now for a full week trying out every option which I use. I have one BIG question and would appreciate if somebody can help with this one.
I use Google as the central storage of my contacts. This I then synchronize using the Exchange Sync option on the phone.
I 1st tried to use the Synchronize facility but I could not get that to work properly. The Exchange option did work. However my problem is that if anything changes on the phone and I need to sync with Google, the phonebook gets thrown away. The contacts sync option turns to off and the phone is empty re the contacts.
Is there a way in the exchange sync option where I can state that the phone contacts must stay intact and only the Google side be updated from the phone's side.
In the Synchronization option it has a field where this can be set, but not in the exchange sync option.
Otherwise, is there a way of setting up the Sync option to get that to work.
Please help.

//Jane - Thanks for your reply. I replied yesterday but the comment was not posted! This phone weighs in at 135 grams whereas the Monte weighs in at less than 100 gms. The Monte has a bigger screen, more internal memory, DNSe (Digital Natural Sound Engine) and is cheaper than the CorbyPro.
Yet, something tells me to opt for the QWERTY keypad. I will go to the store and lay my hands on both and then buy one.

the touch of the phone is very good and fast... don't worry about it... also the music player... the sound is more than amazing to a way I stopped using my mp3 player and I use the CorbyPro music player instead and you have 11 sound effects: Normal, Rock, Jazz, Live, Classic, Megabass, Concert hall, Music clarity, Wide, Bass enhancement and Externalisation
about the camera... it's a very good camera for a 3.15Mp camera without auto focus and falsh... just use the mode that's compatible with the picture or the scene... you have.. portrait, landscape, night, sports, sunset and text... to have the perfect picture... and in page 2 and 3 in user opinions and reviews... you will see a sample pictures of the camera... at night and day... :)

1.As I see that the wifi is the main profile accessing the internet for you… so Activating the wifi automatically with an application and making it work all night till the battery is full dry as you say is your fault not Samsung engineers and the only way to solve this problem is open the sidebar that contains the applications choose widget settings… then choose setting (the one that’s next to save).. then choose network setting… the choose off… now the applications won’t activate the wifi until you open an application
2.Is there a phone on earth can last till evening when it says battery low in the morning?? NO!!!!!
But you can do something that won’t make you battery drain fast and will make it last longer… use the phone till it turns off… don’t charger it in the middle… just wait till it’s turned off automatically… then recharger the phone till it battery full and remove the charger once it says battery full (don’t leave the charger attached to the phone when its full cause it will damage the battery).. And repeat this process at least once every month… it will make your battery stay longer and live longer…
3.True… cause 90% of the applications is not customized to the touch and slide qwerty option yet… so try to Google for touch phones applications
4.True... and this is much better cause it give you the option to choose which connection that you prefer and I believe that this is a good option cause there is people who choose the best connection for every section…and because if the set the wifi the default connections for every section and you’re in area that doesn’t have wifi ... then there is alternative.
5.The camera works well without the autofocus… and why don’t you install the application that read the bar code instead of taking pictures of it…all you do is write the numbers in the application and it tells you where this product come from and if it’s valid product
6.The Smart-unlock is like sleep option on computers and laptops with a password on a profile… you have to move the mouse or press a key so you can use the computer/laptop and insert the password then use pc/laptop… and you can choose a unique letter for every application… go to setting…scroll down to smart unlock…scroll down to apps launch… and then choose the letters…
7.True and not true :D... true that all the mobile contacts are gone forever when you use the Exchange ActiveSync but this doesn’t happen with Samsung only… this happens with Sony Ericsson and Nokia too… but not true that Samsung uses contacts only from the Exchange… but I want to ask something… why didn’t you just simply choose send all contracts via Bluetooth…
8.Instant messenger (Palringo application) works only with Wifi (not with GPRS)… True and this is better because it will save you all the money that you’ll spend by using the GPRS.
9.No auto-turn off of Wifi (when no near hot-spots detected)… I never heard that there an auto-turn off for wifi option in any phone
10.Go to Voice recorder… choose setting… press on recording time… now you can choose from: 1min, 2min, 3min, 4min, 5min, 60min and limit for mms and after you choose… scroll down and you will see the option of choose the default memory for the recorded clips
11.Erase them and download the games you want from the internet

Thank you for your reply. I like sleek and slim things with curves at the right places (no pun intended!). I had posted this query in the Monte section too. There, the verdict's gone in Monte's favor! That puts me in two minds.
I tried the Nokia 5800 for a while but its touchscreen buttons were too small for my fingers.

CorbyPro weighs in at a 135 gms; Monte is less than a 100 gms and looks better. One of friends uses Corby Pro and she says that with a 16GB card it starts dragging something :-D

I know so little about Samsung Monte and nothing Samsung Wave :D but I I’ll you about Samsung CorbyPro
Samsung CorbyPro has a really good sound quality even if you’re not using the music player that’s came in the phone… And allow me to tell you that the sound is more than amazing in the music player to a way I stopped using my mp3 player and I use the CorbyPro music player instead and you have 11 sound effects: Normal, Rock, Jazz, Live, Classic, Megabass, Concert hall, Music clarity, Wide, Bass enhancement and Externalisation…
Samsung Corby is a multi-tasking phone and you can operate as much applications as you desire and you can switch between them easily….
Sadly CorbyPro doesn’t have a virtual QWERTY keypad in the landscape and you can only use the QWERTY keyboard in landscape… but don’t worry the buttons in virtual keypad is wide enough to fit any hand…. And if you don’t want to use the virtual QWERTY keypad or QWERTY keyboard you can choose option to write the letter with your finger on the screen and then it will appear in the text... it's like you are writing on the paper...
So my advice for you is to go for CorbyPro because with Monte you have only virtual QWERTY keypad but with CorbyPro you have also the QWERTY keyboard if you don’t want to use virtual QWERTY keypad
