This phone is very good. This is an upgrade to me from my O2 Mini (WinMo 2003) which I used for 6 years very satisfactorily. I find this Samsung phone very good though I would have gone for HTC if they had exact same version of OS on offer in Qwerty key pad touch screen mode. However I could finally solve my own issues and am posting the same here.
I reply to my own issues posted on 26/6/11:
- The Accuweather feature of Samsung's Today screen seems to slow down the phone especially when you do not have live internet connectivity. I could not find how to disable Accuweather feature. I changed Samsung's Today Screen to Windows Default (which doesn't have Accuweather) and now there's no more slowing down of phone in any mode.
- I have not yet been able to locate any way to store MS Outlook (Contact, Tasks, Calender, etc.) on memory card.
- There's a registry tweak to make SMS delivery report permanently ON. Which I did.

After first synchronization with PC, the phone's functionalities have slowed down. I see significant delay in coming out of any menu back to main screen. How to improve upon this? No improvement on this after subsequent sync sessions. Using Active Sync 4.5 for synchronization.

Dear Moderator, pleaes do not process my query for 'Soft Reset of this phone' as I got the answer.
The ON/OFF (call END) key does that job.
Sorry for trouble.

I just bought this phone. I wish to know how to soft reset this phone? There is specific menu for Hard Reset but I don't see anything for soft reset. What to do when we are asked to restart phone after installaion of any app or when we need to restart after phone hangs?
Earlier I was having O2 Xda II Mini which served me for 6 years! There was a hole at the bottom which when pressed with stylus pen would soft reset the phone and when pressed along with On/Off button would hard reset the phone.

@knebb
No, it doesn't come with a stylus because you don't need one, Windows 6.5.3 is finger friendly.

I have an Iphone 3GS and have to use this piece of shit for work reasons. :-(
Warning! Stay away from this phone at all costs!! It is the pits, the screen stinks, the user interface is absolute rubbish, it has all sorts of illogic twists, for example, you have to have the pointer to be able to use it but you cant store the pointer with the phone!!
You can save messages to drafts but getting them back is hard, the action buttons change places and often are very illogical for example what is the difference between "Send" and "OK" ???
Only buy this rubbish phone if you are a masochist with too much time on your hands. Complete waste of money
