this phone reall sucks. i bought a new one in february 2005 and i'm bored already! i think i was attracted by its looks and not functions. from george.

It's a really nice phone,amazing.fantastic.i have transferred many ringtones and pictures through infrared using the software of Easy GPRS.But i couldn't transfer JAVA applications.Can anybody suggest a good software for transferring JAVA applications.

there seem 2 many prob. abt c100's IR.Let me clear one thing,the IR on d fone is of no use to connect 2 other fones.
however it can b used 2 connect 2 pc.
vat u need is a s/w called 'easy GPRS'.its available on d net 2 download.its not best but there seems 2 b no other way.and nokia s/w dont work wid it.

IR on c100 indeed works and its not like that IR o post c100 fones only work,its not true.ofcourse its not as good as sum nokia series 60 and sony-eri.phones.to connect this phone using IR to pc u need 2 hav IR port for pc also.then simply turn on IR from phone settings and align it to ur pc's IR port and it will connect showing ur phone model as another pc.however u cannot send files directly 2 d fone.u need 2 hav sum software specially made for samsung phones. s/w for nokia wont work.i hav downloaded .wav tones and wallpapers on it using IR-port.So no doubt it works.

I love~~~ samsung C 100 evehthough its kinda late:p....but,i dun really noe how to use it..it will b gud if sum1 can teach me to stop the end call thingT.Ti can't phone.....

It doesn't work the IRDA because in all the samsung mobiles that are a little bit older .. it doesn't work the IRDA .. the IRDA works at versions like D500 ... mobiles that appeard in 2005, and in the end of 2004 .. so u can use your IRDA port at C100 only to transfer numbers from the agenda .. so I must say that I can't stand this mobile .. it has an ugly design .. a very small display ... and a very very small memory ... so DON"T BUY IT !! :))

Can anyone tell me how to use the IR port that is present in C100.. I tried activating the IR and then transfering any picture but was unable to do so.

Hey.. how are you all? anyone got msn? if you do ad me, its anthonyali33@msn.com. Hey i got one of the phones and i'm from Trinidad, i also got ringtones/wallpaper for it! you got to use a program called EASY GPRS! and a IRDA port! please do not use the cable, the cable is for only internet use. If you got the EASY GPRS on your latop or Pc and it does not work you will need service pack, but if you got the service pack installed on your PC or laptop, and you still can not get it to open, open EASY GPRS and you will see file go to set up and look where you see COM1 OR COM2 . When you got the service pack installed, go to where you see wither COM1 OR COM2 and look for IRDA! and then it iwill fins your phone. It will pull up your phone book, that to let you know that it is workin.. hey if you do no understand call me at 1-868-730-6493 or you can mail me your number and i'll call you and i'll tell you how to use it better ok! its way to much for me to type, and i do not want everyone to know how to get to use it good ok.

here my little opionion is that c 100 samsung nowadays is very popular due to it's features and long lasting main thing is it is from samsung company.name is the warranttee and gurranty nothing else

I thing its very beautiful end is the best.I dont have it yet but im gonig to buy it.im from romania end i think is the world of the phone we have almost everything,,but nowbody is like samsung c100.is the best im foll in love whith him it's sow slim. I love it,i love it,i love it,i love it

Yeah ! I had this phone for almost a year so here is my ENTIRE opinion : The ringtones are THE BEST for this class, they are LOUD, smooth, it really is a pleasure when someone calls you ! The screen, even though is VERY small, the colours look good, they do NOT fade in time. Many nice things about this phone but here are the few problems I have encountered : Like said so many times before, the IR does not work at all ! Not even between two phones of the same kind ! No MMS feature which makes it no fun to download pictures. Battery lasts 2, 3 days tops ! This applyes to all, not just mine. So this is all I can say for now. If U can find it at a price below 100 dollars U should buy it, if not it is not the best choice on the market ! :)

if you want to use ir you must need a ir cable through that you can send pics, ring and images. you have to connect through computer it cost RS 800
