I think this phone is quite good. Have it for over a month and i just cant get enough of it. Good screen (65K, though a little small), 40 poly tones( Great Sound) and I like the Vib/Led feature, Its quite light and feels good to hold, GPRS, IR ( can download ringtones and animation without a data cable using Easy GPRS). In all a Good Phone at a Good Price. Highly recommended.

This phone represents great value for money. Got mine from Virgin for £99, with £35 inclusive airtime, free European return flight, and a box of chocolates - what more could you want! It's very light, with a simple to follow menu structure, great screen, class polyphonic ringtones, and everyone who sees it, loves it. The reception quality is very good, and I can only imagine that the people complaining here are die-hard Nokia sheep, who have yet to pass puberty. At the end of the day, If you want a quality, functional phone, it's the nuts. I couldn't care less for a Mickey Mouse camera/MMS, and if I was to be extremely fussy, I suppose I could wish that the battery life was a bit longer, and that the predictive text allowed you to add to the dictionary - but hey, what do you expect for £99!

Jeezuz, I can't believe some of these so-called reviews. Who's gonna pay any attention to idiots who spell "could" as "cud" and slam it for not having a camera when it's so cheap? What have you guys been smoking? This is a great little phone that dhas all the main features that most people need when they get past pubety. It's slim' light and sleek with great ringtone quality and a very impressive high resolution screen that despite being small is the same resolution as bigger screens on much more expensive cameras (I also own a GX10i, Sagem MyX-6 and others).
Battery life is pretty average for a colour screen, there are better but there are worse, and look how small the thing is to begin with. Being a Lithium Ion Polymer battery (rare at this price) it has no memory so you can charge every day if you like without any problems.
I suggest some of these Nokia huging smack heads should get an education and find something worthwhile to say. Ignore the pile of steaming BS here and check one out for yourself!

the phone is good its just that as all samsung phones the reception quality is very poor and they rewally need to look to improve the quality of this area.
i dont know y, but the otha remaining problem is the battery life of the phone.
it only lasts a few days at a time and once u play a agame u cannot possibly expect to find a good supply of battery.
overall, similar to A800, just got no flip and has colour screen. all same features etc.

The features are cool, but why they create those features if we can't use them. MMS, sending data via irDa, camera optional, why this phone don't care about those features above??? with your 65K colors it's too bad you can't do things above...But I always believe samsung!!! For this type of phone I would give 7/10.

Believe it or not... After 3 months of flawless work this phone just DIED. Just switched itself off... and thats it. If you press ON button, LED flashes yellow 2-3 times, screen goes gray and switches itself off in a few seconds. No charger, no battery replacement helped. I feel like crying now, I have no idea what could have happened - I treated the phone with extreme care, never dropped it and never let any water onto/into it. I left it for RMA at the service and now I am just sitting and waiting. I am very confused what could I do if this "sudden death" happens again after my warranty expires. I am really confused :-( Why you did it, Samsung? I trusted you...A very nice phone .. excellent looks ... good features at a small price ... this is how I would rate this phone ... the ring tones are excellent; all of them, every tone better than the other, I have seen SE T310 but its ringtones are not loud enough as compared to C100 which have poly tones with loud volume. This phone is light weight, can use gprs also ... also you can use datacable to put images and ring tones to it from your pc. Although I have not tried this but this is what I have heard and this is what their help file says. Some features are however missing like sending ringontes, sending mms (we can always receive mms on this phone), composer is missing .... overall at this price I woul give this phone 9/10. Samsung well done.

Wow, I've bought it yesterday! It is great, exactly what I need and want. just a few issues:
1\ User Menu - you can choose just from a list of items, not o use any item of all the menu as T39
2\Why is backlight 2 colours? Blue display and orange keyboard - it is terrible. I bought Ice Blue because of that everything's blue.
3\ Why is not possible to use the volume tab during typing to scroll thru the letters, like in case of T39?
