Does anyone know how to prevent the c300 to not keep the screen illuminate light all the time when not in use? At fist I thought that it does that when alarm is swiched on. Once when I canceled the alarm, the screen switched off also. But now it is again on all the time and the battery is getting empty quite fast because of that. And I havent changed anything in the menus. Whats up with that?

I dont get why people are saying 'oh this phone's crap, it has nothing, no camera, no Blutooth...'
Not all phones are state of the art tech! Some people just want and need a basic phone! And nowhere in its description does it say it has a camera, so why are some of you coming on here and complaining about that? I'm sure you'll find loads of other Samsung phones at a similar price which have a camera.
Why not only post comments that are useful to everyone else?
If we want to know whether a phone has a camera or Bluetooth, we'll just go on Specifications!

some people don't understand these kind of phone
why? because some people don't want a camera
or have a lot of memory cause they want just
a ordinary phone that comes in slide form
just for secondary phone so they built these

I purchased the SGH C300 Samsung at Virgin Mobile UK for 20-quid, (Pounds Sterling). Comes with 200-minutes to use on any network and UK numbers, 01 & 02.
My local mobile shop can unlock it for 5-quid. Has many languages, but the T9 takes a little getting used to and is best with English only. I like it for the price!!

Very stylish, good cashing quality, high class design, quite comfortable keyboard.
But..
VERY ANNOYING FOR WRITING & SENDING SMS/MMS!
Especially if u r not an english speaker.
1. CANT TURN OFF T9 permanently.
2. Have to press too much button to if u want to choose number from phonebook then send SMS.
3. VERY ANNOYING MESSAGE appear if u write more tham 160 char(s).
4. VERY ANNOYING "Selected" message after adding number from phonebook, adding imges, music or anyting to our message.
5. Those messages appear too long! We dont need that message.
6. Bad way to choose special character.
HIGHLY NOT RECOMEMDED IF U R SMS fans!

To send any data, like a ringtone, you need to make a data-connection. So, you can't send a ringtone without at least a GPRS connection

does anybody know if it is possible to set the T9 language as a different one than the language set for the menus? to set it, and keep it that way, because I change it and then it just goes back to the default. and is there a way to have a clock in the main window without having to change the background to a clock?
