Lai, 05 Oct 2010Same question, my phone cant detect music from my memory ca... moreif your fone cannot detect music files from your memory card, I suggest you change your memory card. I did, and it worked for me.

Anonymous, 03 Oct 2010Dear jams lee just wana ask that can we install more games ... morebassicaly, the firmware of samsung genoa has a lot of limitations. yeah, we cant add new themes, java storage memory limited to 4 MB, etc. almost entire problems also happened to Samsung corby and star. but there are a lot of smart hackers or software crackers who are able to develop new firmware for samsung corby and star, so they can freely change the user interfaces,like themes and other appearances, also performances in corby and star. but I still cant find such new firmware for samsung genoa and its developers... *sigh

My friend has the Genoa, its very nice to handle, its firm.
TFT screen is superb, Touch response very interactive.
I played around a bit with it, and now i want it. But problem is my friend has it, i dont want to be seen as a Copycat.

i've been using this handset for six month now. and i want to share some information and facts about samsung genoa to answer some questions here:
- opera mini run well in genoa, especially 4.2 version. opera mini 5 needs more RAM and memory that's why it's a bit lack in genoa
- if your music player can't detect your mp3 files. you have to put all of them in 'music' folder of your memory card
-samsung genoa has no QWERTY keyboard because its screen is to small for capacitive touchscreen which is only workin when we touch the screen with our skin
- genoa can not read office file or PDF file
- we can not add more '3 slide wallpaper' like samsung corby, star, or monte.
- it has equalizer (normal, pop, rock, jazz, classic, live, bass, dance, wide, dynamic, surround)
- the speaker is quite loud
- it has 3.5mm headset jack
- we can not add more themes
- the video player can play mp4 format. if you want to watch a good quality video in full screen mode, make sure the video resolution is 320x240, framerate 15 fps (the video player can't read higher framerate than 15fps. I use any video converter and total video converter to edit my videos
- the java application is limited to 500 kb, but you can use this code *#52828378# choose OTA test then set maximum JAR size to whatever you like.
