Hey Dev, Thanx for the info. you are almost correct but a little correction. Dual standby means both the sim will be in standby (not in call but are ready to receive or make call)condition. Hence whoever makes a first call on any number, it will accept but... at the same moment the other number goes to "unreachable" or "out of coverage" condition. This kind of facility is called Dual standby Single active. Models which can make 2 call simultaneously are called Dual Standyby Dual active. Samsung is first in introducing this term. However GURU series might not be Dual active but Dual standby.

I have a C5212 model and my Phone book in phone memory is full. How do I transfer this to a external PC? I have 1000 phone numbers and can copy only 250 numbers to each sim.

                  @ DEV

Excellent feedback and its 100% useful .. thanks dude

Yes, ur r right that dual standby means u can make/receive calls using both sims at the same time, and this phone does that thing. try this -
Call a no.(may be customer care, it will be free) from sim1 & goto option & add new call then use the network switch to change the network and dial another no. from sim2, thus u can swap between the two network while on both calls using network changing switch.
Limitation: u can't hav conference using both sim but only one.
Another thing, in a non dual standby phone when u r busy on one sim, & if someone makes calls on another sim he hears that the no. is switched off/ not reachable. Which is not in the case of dual standby phone

i have this unit, but my main problem is that it can only handle 200 messages both for inbox and outbox already.
can i not save the messages in the external memory?
what other dual sim can you suggest that have high capacity of messages? would the myphone be ok?

This phone said to be dual standby.it means u can make a call/answer a call from both sims at the same time.Am i right?. But in specification it says when u switching one sim to another u need to switch a small button which is on the side of the phone. It means u cant make two calls at a time!! am i right?.My question is how it can dual standby?? Appricate feedbacks on this!!
