i want to know about that cell that what kind of application it supports becuase i installed .jar files but the cell did not support this kind of files over all the best phone i found as compared with nokia

when i used it for first time , am surfing to call or dial by the other sim , that every time i had to reboot it to call from the other sim , but actually i learn from this site that no need to reboot the phone , just press your number and before dial press the key that change the sim then you can dial from the other one . ohhhh that really my big problem but now solved .

battery back up is nice. initially ihad also problem but found out that due to weak coverage signals from one sim the phone was consuming more power in search mode.changing sim with strong signal(range)rectify the problem. overall IT"S EXCELLENT PHONE USER FRIENDLY ONE

Good Fone in terms of functionality. practical, no frills. Music quality decent, standard samsung, with equlizer setting. Good Music player, with all shortcut keys and background playing option...that was missing in earlier fones. Camera OK. Image editing provided. switching between sims xtremly convenient, with the dedicated button provided at the right side. Can't believe that many ppl still don't know abt it, despite the issue having sprung up here many times. Customizable home screen....no huge date date/time displays that u cannot eliminate unlike the c250. Looks decent....almost high end (By popular opinion). A mobile cover vendor actually restarted my fone to know the model number, earning a huge rebuke from me. After that i made him take out almost all the covers in his shop and left without buying one
on the negative side, xtremly heavy....feels like a dumbbell. browsing through memory card a bit on the slower side, especially if u use transition effects. file size LIMITED in third party applications that can be installed. Battery can last for a day with average use of calling, texting and music combined. with minimal use, u can stretch it to 2.5 days max.
And the worst, worst worst part....just 200 msgs inclusive of inbox, drafts, sent items and saved items. Just not enuf for the average youngster. Consider this single point that is a turnoff for many. If u're comfortable, go ahead and buy...u won't regret it.

one more good feature is the search contacts by just typing 3 consecutive digits we remember from the number, and it will display all the possibilities

dominic, 20 Jul 2010there doesn't seem to be a way to select which sim you want... moreim sorry, i guess i just learned from reading another post that it is possible to switch it one the fly. either dial the number then press the sim button on the right, or just select the number from your contacts list and then press the button. this sure made me love this phone so much more.. now i have to wonder how samsung is able to get 10 hours of talk time out of this phone, i seriously doubt it.

kayna, 22 Dec 2009can anyone tell me how to switch between sim when make a ph... morethere doesn't seem to be a way to select which sim you want to make a call out of on the fly. what you have to do is change the default sim, which requires the phone to reboot, taking a bit of time and is a hassle. this phone can accept calls from either sim on the fly, but not make calls. i get a business call or text from sim 2 but my phone is set to default on sim 1. if i call or text back immediately without switching the default sim to sim 2, it will mean the business guy will have my personally number to call and bug me. this is not cool at all if i don't want him to know my number. i am still looking for a dual sim phone that is truly dual sim. hopefully the nokia c2 will fix this problem.

Hey dears, please don't buy samsung c5212 it has many drawbacks. company gives surity that battery supports for up to 10 hrs of talk time in fact i have recharged it twice daily. battery supports only one hour and thirty minutes. More camera result is not good at all at 1.3 MP. Speaker sound is poor. it is not wet resistant in normal monsoon.SMS memory is very short it saves only 200 msgs in all boxes.I have replaced the piece thrice but problems were not solved.try any other local indian mobile like Karbonn, Intex ,Micromax are 500 time better than samsung c5212 and and also cheap 60% than samsung duos.

Hey, actually you need not reboot the mobile for swapping the SIMs .. While having the number to be called on the screen, just press the swapping button on the right of the phone .. Automatically it toggles the SIMs .. You can notice it on the screen in the top left corner where it shows the signal strength ..

This model is really good but has a drawback, whenever we switch SIMs then the phone is rebooted which is really a pain. We cant afford to use both the SIMs to call or message. When a particular SIM is a fefault one, then you can make calls from this SIM but you can get calls or receive messages from the other SIM
