I'd used the c5212 for about 2 weeks before a friend told me you can switch from one sim to the other by pressing the button by the side after punching the number you intend to call. I didn't get this from the manual....I'd been switching from the sim management which takes about a minute because the phone has to reboot.
    Good phone

          Hi, friends,
My humble suggestion! Please dont go for this mobile. Samsung dual technology is still far behind the ordinary chinese dual sim phones. I am telling you my personal experience. Dont buy any samsung dual sim phone...!!!!
If you need a dual sim.....go for any chinese phone..
(Samsung has very good phones in single sim).

im considering buying this phone so please give me an honest reply.
i had read that this phone can only store up to 4 playlist with a max of 30 songs for ewach playlist. is there a way that you can save 200 songs and play them all without saving it on a playlist? nokia phones allow you to create playlist but if you want to play all the saved songs, you can just press the option 'play all'.

            thanks in advance

This phone is very good. But if you want to make a call using SIM2 you have to switch off and again reboot the phone which takes about 2-3 minutes time. Only incoming calls and messages are received by both sims simultaneous. Outgoing calls from SIM2 is not readily available. I bought this phone without knowing this.

Guys, i spoke to the Samsung people. The battery life also depends on the SIM you use. People using Docomo and BSNL will be likely to get LOW BATTERY life as it consumes more bandwidth.

Airtel and Vodafone would work fine and in any case, you would get 4 hours of talk time / 1.5 to 2 days of battery.

                        Here are some tips.
                        -----------------------------

Avoid using vibrator as it consumes a lot of power.

Turn off your cell in the night.

Don't use this as a music device. Listen to songs sparingly.

Reduce the display brightness to minimum, which itself is so bright.

Recharge the cellphone only when the battery power goes below 2 or 1 sticks.

Store the device in cool place.

Follow the above tips and am sure you would get decent battery life. You would not get excellent battery life like you would get from LAVA, KARBONN, MICROMAX etc, but its not bad either.

If you not satisfied, well, for for LAVA / KARBONN. And live with the cranky OS !

Yeah yeah! Charge you batteries for 12 hours, and then throw it in your dustbin! What rubbish people talk in here! charging for 12 hours!!! LOL ...Li-Ion batteries require just 3 hours of initial charging and then on, charge when you have just one bar remains.

This phone is NOT reliable in terms of battery back up. I do not advise people to go for this and waste their money.

Anonymous, 11 May 2010Can anyone give the HONEST opinion and experience on Batter... moreSo would you get from any and every device using a Li-Ion battery. Why? The problem lies with you and not with the battery. Read on.

A battery -- fresh out of the box -- requires "seasoning" to reach its full capacity. And so the very first 4 charges should be of 12 hrs each. And always charge a battery when its fully discharged. If you keep up with this practice, you'll never be utterly disappointed with any Li-Ion battery. Cell phone or cordless or MP3 player. Got the point? :)

Plus, always allow your Li-Ion devices proper ventilation and/or breathing. Phone battery heats up while in use -- especially during calls. And so, make it a habit to switch off the phone for 4 hrs at least. Hope, you can use/apply these points.

Be happy. Be good. Be graceful.
