gee, 26 Apr 2010yup i agree when adding recipients its really slow when com... morethats the price of copying the china version of dual sim into samsung model but im happy and much contended withs the speed of this phone all we need is to understand the phone itself and the rest will follow to our likes and needs...for the battery mines last 2 days...call and text then mp3...if u want to stay up2 2.5 days standby...you have to silent your phone...less music...and another thing...you dont have to buy 8gig for this phone...i think it will slow the phone coz mine using the 2gig...nothing change still slow...

i think this guy Usman gave us all bullshit! he gave us some version of firware which is not at all announced. ive tried all ways and i no way on this freaking earth that the battery lasts for 50 hours...unless Usman is using only 1 sim and switches off the cell in the night. C5212 is a sucker for battery. PLS DONT BUY THIS SET.

there is no need to set the 2nd sim as default, just dail the number then press side sim swith and dial the number it will dial from 2nd sim

battery life good....2 days max....
the down side is this PHONE is VERY SLOW....but after 16 days of using this phone i adopt with this phone in terms of speed because the interface is good but its slow in adding recipient when composing a sms...

The only problem is switching from one simcard to the other wich forces the phone to restart and taking too long to initiolize the simcard,so it cant help you quick in cases of imangencies when the active simcard has no airtime.I would like to have one wich you dont have to switch if there is any from SAMSUNG,otherwise everything else is ok with 5212.

I have some serious trouble with my C5212... moremy friend it is good to know that each sim card in your phone is 3volts and your phone has 2simcards.That means too much power is consumed.Because 2sims is 6volts and your battery is only 4.2volts ,calculate that and you will find what each sim is consuming.

hii ..can any1 plz tell me that is this phone works in the same way as dual sim China mobiles work i.e. both sims are active at the same time?? we can make calls, receive cals, sens sms from both sims at the same time ??? Or we have to switch between the sims to make any sim active ??

I have some serious trouble with my C5212. The battery back up sucks :( not even lasts for a day. All i do is 30 mins of chatting tru SMS and then 5 calls of 2 mins each maximum. Do i need to upgrade my firmware? Can you pls guide me how to do it?

The battery life is NOT GOOD. I loved the features of this phone but very disappointing life of the battery. All i do is chat with my cousins for an hour, take maximum of 5 calls a day each lasting not more than 2 mins. Thats it. Battery wont even come for more than a day :(
Am planning to change my handset.

I would suggest to all Samsung C5212 users to patiently go through all the comments\replies given here to increase their knowledge and also ask here to clarify their doubts which will certainly help all of us. I will also try to clear any doubts on this phone just by the knowledge gained from this forum.

Someone pls give the procedure to upgrade the Firmware of the C5212. There are some real good experts here and this would help all 5212 users a lot.
